The Appalachian Trail is certainly a green tunnel, but it is so great to take a break at some of these views. It is awesome.

I do know exactly what you mean about that connection. I’ve lived on the coast of Ms. my entire life. I’ve traveled abroad some but never linger away than a month. For some reason a few years ago when I went to the Delta (about 6 hr away) but the true South it just felt like home. Since then when I go to the delta it still feels like I’m going home. I’ve never even spent more a few days at a time there & yet it feels so special. Like home

I wonder if this happens sometimes because of views, but maybe also because the smells. I think our brains are connected to smell more than we realize.
