Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away on Thursday, 16 August, 2018. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was India’s 10th prime minister, and the country’s first non-congress prime minister to complete a five-year-term. He served three terms, the first for 15 days in 1996, the second for 13 months from March 1998 to April 1999, and the third for five years from 1999-2004.

I've a very fond memory of my childhood it was around 98-99 when I was 3-4 years - gk was a pain and literally school made us mug the answers but every time the q pop pops up who is the pm of India - I was always among the first or may be loudest saying Atal Bihari Vajpayee :) I think I'll remember him till my last breath :) proud bjp proud Indian thank you Atal ji for making India India .

India will remember Bajpayee as the sangh leader who paved the way of development without harming minorities, answering questions, a champion of foreign policy without circumnavigation, a dog lover who never supported lynching in the name of cow... We miss the poet prime minister... The leader we need now. Had he been a little healthy his discourse with current PM would have resulted in a better India...

I was 4yo when I used to watch the speeches of Atal Ji on TV. Whenever my grandfather would turn on the TV I used to come and sit watch Atal Ji. Maybe it was the poetic way of his speech or the instant connection he struck, but I believe just like me he infused interest in politics in many other kids too. Will remember you sir till my last breath. Thanks for showing belief in our scientists and our army men. Thanks for making India nuclear capable. RIP sir

There had been numerous PM's before but we remember only Lal Bahadur Shastri and Atal Bihari Vajpayee for their faithfulness and patriotism to the country. He was the one who successfully deployed the Golden Quadrilateral Highway project , He was the one who made India conduct Nuclear tests successfully even with so much pressure from the US unlike today's politicians who's only aim is to win elections !!!
