Most people are familiar with the Atari 2600 and Pong. But between the launches of these two pioneering gadgets, Atari created a few interesting consoles that very few people remember today. In this episode we take a look at some of those early home consoles that helped to define a generation.
Update: 04/16/2020: We hope that you enjoyed our little April Fools joke about the Atari 401. If you didn't notice, at TM 10:05 there is a QR code on the label that will take you to a page on our website that has links to all of the Easter Eggs in that segment. www.operation8bit.org/atari401...
Operation 8-Bit is a grass-roots not for profit group that helps to support charities like the Tour De Force 9/11 Memorial Bike Ride and the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) by raising funds through the restoration and resale of classic computers and video games.
We are supported by donations from people just like you, and these donations can make an amazing difference to helping the organizations and families we support.
If you have an old Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo that you (or your kids) never use anymore, or if there is an old computer just gathering dust in your attic or in the back of a closet that you would like to donate, please let us know by visiting our website.
