Room needs more work. Comb filtering evident in the vocals, and bass is bloomy. Large glass side wall, tile floor, mostly bare walls, all need some attention.

Comparted with 40 are a bit more extended in the deep bass and also in the high end. Extetically I love the ATC40 no dubt. Some people replace the tweeter of ATC40 with something more open and bright, but in my experience you can also try with cable silver to do something similar. The ATC 40 it's a very solidy loudspeaker for the price point... the price point onf ATC50 its more than double and here you can maybe find other product... Did you try some TAD?

40A is a real step up from the passive. The 40A is somuch better. I urge you to go in that direction instead of paying more than doudle for a passive 50.

I’m curious about the scm50 too. I run 4 12” subs with my scm40’s.

An atc dealer told me scm40 + 2 atc c4 mk2 subs better than scm 50 alone. ( he has no interest of sale) The c4 is very expensive! Thinking about rel carbon special .

how do you think about soundstage? Deep and wide or more forward? I remember in some listening that was quite forward but with great layering. What's about high freq, feel something missing or not? from the video I agreed they sound great!

Soundstage is beyond speakers position in width, deep but it can be better, as tall as the speakers. All frequency range are very clear , except bass is rolled of, deep , no boominess, mid bass very good..but not as deep as i want…

@@musicvibesonly imho, the probability of problems with stitching subs is greater than in the 50s, in which there will be no such problem.
