Their that one group whose mics are always on since debut. Volume at 100% and never below 80% even on debut week. We've been waiting for this time because we know they don't use backing track vocals in Sketchbook, we got to hear their voices clearly without the double voices. The rasp in Wooyoung's voice and Sannie's growl. Seonghwa and Mingi are extra aggressive here too.

@Sanskriti cause yhy sketchbook doesnt allow lip syncing, you have to sing live as in live. and artists who performed here are well known to have good live perfs whether idols or solo artists

not so true, some lipsync has been detected before. Also is really rare no hear breathing sounds when singers are moving energeticly.

When someone say "they're just not idols" kinda sounds like idols exist only because of their appearance and stereotypes. Idols are artists. No objections in between. Let that sink in.

Actually, I feel that being called an idol is the best compliment a korean artist could receive. To be an idol means that you have to sing, rap, dance and, of course, to perform; it means to be multi-talented. So, I think that this "they're not just idols" phrase it's misused. Still, I agree that they keep getting better every time. (´ . .̫ . `)

@@ginaverso Except in Korea, idols are not mainstream unless they are very successful. Idols still have a stereotype of being chosen for their looks, and that is only starting to change because the competition is so fierce that they have to be very talented just to survive in the industry. Also, I don't think most people would consider them artists, except for those who write their own songs. Most idols still only sing and dance to songs their companies give them. 4th Gen groups sometimes have more freedom in making their own music, like Ateez and Stray Kids, and they tend to be more popular, but even I would not call most idols artists.

He’s always been great vocally since he got into the company because of that, is the Lead vocal and best after Jongho. They just didn’t give him the opportunities vocally to shine in songs so it’s great that they’re doing it now. Other fandoms always found it hard to believe us when we say San is the lead vocalist because there’s always a focus on his performances rather than his vocals.
