I'll be watching this video over and over again because the visual eye-candy never stops. I notice something new after each viewing. The MV is a work of art. The song is flashy and brilliant. HongJoong sets the pace with his sliding rap, then Yunho and San's vocals. Seonghwa's facial expressions and stage presence is breathtaking. Yeosang shines in his moments. And Mr. Wooyoung needs to keep his fingers out of his mouth! Mingi reminds us why his rap is so unique, and he does it upsidedown. I also love that they are leaning hard into the lore of their group. I wish more K-Pop groups would really explore these storylines. Link things together. Drop Easter Eggs. The story is just as intriguing as the music. I had to roll up my sleeves to write this. I'm usually not a boygroup stan, the only BG I like is Stray Kids and I don't even listen to them as much. I have to say that Guerilla BLEW MY MIND AWAY IN EVERY SENSE POSSIBLE. If there's an award for the MOST EPIC song Guerrilla bags it up, leaves no crums. I don't know whether to vow, cry, clap my hands till they bleed or do all of those at the same time. What a M A S T E R P I E C E. Honestly I'm actually pissed at how perfect every little thing is. The freakishly clever camera work had me sweating with those depth of field focuses, like wtf. The use of COLOR is so relevant and critical and they've used it so insanely well to thread the story. The way each scene merges into the other is EXTREMELY SMOOTH. It's so so so good I just can't. This song made me stan Ateez automatically and I did not think that it was possible for me to auto-stan a BG with this much violence. Sending lots of love!
