The Wave melody at the ending Turbelence is a genius because when they talk the struggle on Turbelence, then the lyrics on Wave talk about how they overcome the struggle and going through the Wave.

After listening it for an incredible amount of time, “Turbulence” became my all time favourite Ateez song, actually if I have to make a list of best Ateez’s songs, this song is off the chart. And of all songs I listened this year this may end up a SOTY for me. Chills, emotions and tears pour out just remembering this song.

I love the fact that they make a song that everyone can relate to and also let us know that if we have a lot of negative thoughts, we are not alone and that even them that are surrounded of people can feel sad and alone 💖 Also yes here an overly emotional pal so I cried so much with this one. This song touched me so deeply that now I have a Turbulence tattoo on my collarbone. I did it as soon as I got back from the Ateez concert in May. This is really important for me💙 I cried again with this reaction, loved it!

something i love is how hopeful the tone ends with the wave tune, even if you don't know the song everything else in the mv steers you in the direction of hope, of new beginnings after such deep anguish. while turbulence is about feeling lost and invisible, wave is about not worrying too much and going through trials and tribulations with an easygoing mindset. when they place each other in this order, it's like the clarity after a good cry in a sense, and i really really love ateez for doing that :)

Welcome to one of my most favorite Ateez songs, Turbulence is such a powerful song and I really love how particular it is, specifically how there is no crazy choreo and all the members are by themselves. To clarify your doubts, Turbulence's intro was teased at the end of Deja Vu, such a contrast may I say

ATEEZ has so many amazing emotional songs. Not Too Late and Be With You are also high on my list. It is nice they made an MV for this kind of song, but I'm also happy they made an MV for a song that showcases their vocals. Performance is generally the first word that comes to mind when people think of ATEEZ, but songs like this show that they have an excellent vocal line as well.

and the fact that wave has a special part in the hearts of ateez members because they got their 1st win with that which was sort of a recognition of many years of struggles they had as a kpop group, so it’s perfect as the outro in this song. the ending of this song gives me goosebumps without fail.

A...ahm... currently crying while writing this (sorry): This song became an integral part of me and a pivital part of my life for... dark reasons. I'm a person whom has delt with depression basically my entire life and.. and a few s attemps (Y'all know what I mean by it..). And as far as I know, I've always been conected to music a lot further than most people usually are. As I've stated before, B.A.P is my favorite group by far, because of the sheer connection that their songs resonated with me and still do till today but ATEEZ is one of the very few "newer" groups that have the same "old" aura, the aura of an old soul that has been experiencing a lot through life... just like I am. You guys reacting to this unlocked 12 year old me and all of the memories of the tough times that I've been through..And made me understand why I resonate with music and both of these groups so much. I think "Turbulence" will remain a forever favourite song for Ateez and Atiny, it's THE masterpiece. Every time I hear it I can't help but be reminded of BTS' "Spring Day", because I feel like the vibe and the emotions these two songs try to portray are very similar and I love it, they'll be forever special for everybody. I had the honor to listen to "Turbulence" live at their concert and it was the most magical moment of the night. It really felt like everybody was coming together to share their pain and their hope as well as their love for Ateez and all the Atinys.

This song is definitely one of my favorites for the same reasons you found it emotional. It's a very warm sound, it does feel like a hug. And, honestly, your thoughts are mine. I always felt this song so deeply that more often than not it's the melody that gives me the emotional release I need. I've been listening to this song non-stop for the past two weeks and, while I always feel less alone by the end, walking through the song with you both, hearing your thoughts helped me feel much lighter afterward. I loved how Bri was breaking down the music video, this time around - was she trying to distract herself from becoming too emotional? - while Tori was picking up on the music since it's usually the opposite. I was laughing when Tori saw Seonghwa and went "P-pink...Pink" but I completely understand her. The melody of the song is on the scene after the Deja Vu mv when Yeosang has the Cromer and we see it breaks and then the two hands reach for each other! Next up it's a really fun song! This song is the type of emotional song I like. Because it doesnt actually sound sad. It still has a pretty upbeat and fast tempo and light feeling. To me, the emotion is presented in how they are all singing very strongly. And that really hits. Yes, the beginning of Turbulence was spoiled in the mv that you reacted to 2 mvs ago ;) There are many lines in this that made me cry, but I think the one that hits me the absolute most is when Jongho sings, "is anyone listening". That one just hits very hard. Good thing I had some tissues on hand, I definitely went through some watching your reaction :') There are a few songs in their discography that Hongjoong wrote a while before they were released. Wooyoung was saying on message once that the album (with Turbulence) will have a song that Hongjoong wrote a while ago that made all the members emotional. Don't worry, we will give you tissue warnings for the bsides that you might need tissues for hee hee. By the bridge, Tori said the sun was rising. I'm pretty sure that was significant LOL. idk why though. Maybe similar to how the key changed during San's ending of the chorus. I'm glad you noticed wave playing at the end. I love when they do that. The fact that it's wave, but they slowed it down to fit the song? Amazing. You'll find that this is something they have done before. They create amazing transitions and call backs to songs they have released before. When San ends the first part of the chorus and the key turns brighter/higher, that was so shocking. I expected it to go down, but it turned bright! My ears had question marks. I cry every time I see the music video (I cried along with you, Bri), not so much when the song comes on. This has become one of my favorites because it's just a beautifully written song with a very meaningful message. At first, I was really sad because I know that there are many people, especially our youth, who struggle with these feelings and don't feel that they can turn to anyone for help. I think about my own kids and even though I have an open door for them, they may still feel that they can't come talk to me. That part of it makes me really heavy-hearted and I cry. Now, when I cry from listening to the song, it's more of towards a happiness because my heart is optimistic that even though people may feel troubled in their hearts, it's only temporary and it'll be okay in the end.

Another comment I didn't really intend to write, but felt it might be worth it... I've actually never cried while listening to "Turbulence", only while watching the MV (with or without subtitles). I can listen to it and sing along to my heart's content while driving, and it's always a comforting song rather than a sad-feeling one... but give me the visuals and I'm Mama Bird wanting to gather these babies under my wings for comfort and warmth. It's usually San who sets me off first -- I'll feel the emotions before that, but something about how he portrays it just cuts me to the heart, so if I'm going to cry then it'll set in right about the time I see him on the bus. If I have somehow made it past that (unlikely), then I'm going to get lost in Yeosang's voice and forget everything the song is about until I see San looking like he's a tortured soul in a glass display case. That scene definitely makes me remember my 30-years-younger self, and reminds me how far I've come since then. This is one of those songs where it's really helpful to watch the making of video behind the MV (at least on your own time) because it can help to soothe the raw emotions when you see them go from intense and in-the-feeling-of-the-moment while recording to smiling once their part is done. At least, I've found that to be true for myself when I'm hit hard by one of their songs. I've enjoyed watching their own reactions to the MVs, too. Between the two (behinds and reactions) they'll always end up pointing out things I missed, or giving background about how something was done, and it's always interesting to me (like how Yeosang's water shook as the sun changed through the windows, signifying that he was on the plane, in flight). I'm not sure if anyone mentioned it below (or if you've gone and figured it out since then) but the beginning of "Turbulence" is teased at the end of the "Deja Vu" MV (Yeosang breaks the Cromer and a hand reaches toward him), and Wooyoung's flight scene from this MV is teased after the "Eternal Sunshine" MV (WooSan "fairy dust" moment with a piano version of "The Real"). That's a great catch with the "Wave" melody, though -- I actually never even noticed it (no matter how many times I'd heard both songs, nor how my brain usually "thinks in music") until it was pointed out during one of the videos I watched (and now I can't even remember if it was something ATEEZ themselves pointed out, or if I was watching a reaction video, hrm). Anyway, "Turbulence" is one of the songs that makes me tell people it's worth it to react to anything ATEEZ puts out... because even if it's outside of their wheelhouse, the message is so powerful and I feel like that message needs to be spread as far as it can be (and I personally like to have songs/lyrics I can suggest to people who feel like they're just done with everything).

omfg you should have seen them during their first 2022 concert singing this-- I was at the first US stop at their first tour after the pandemic and this was the last song on the setlist and they were all crying while singing this ;-; it was so touching thinking I was part of them feeling so moved and comforted ;-; I think that's why they chose a more upbeat final song for their second 2022 tour.

The way I struggled to watch this- I did my best to not have a whole breakdown and I succeeded in not having one- not that it’s a bad thing if you do have one, go right ahead. It’s just ME and how I deal with my own stuff. Uh… yea this month has been absolute hell. From my 3 year old having a bad accident under my care, she fell out the second floor window and had to stay in the hospital for three days and two nights, THANKFULLY she’s fine now. She was fine by the time she got back home, jumping around as if nothing happened. But it still like has a hold on me, as in I still think abt that day. Just the other night I had a dream that she had fallen out again and that time it was much worse. I basically did what I could to wake myself up and reassure myself that she was fine and sleeping right next to me. From that accident to my mom and 14 year old sister getting into constant arguments and me always getting dragged into it since I try my best to be the peace maker between the two. Then my mom and I arguing nonstop and wanting to come to her and just tell her how she makes me feel and so on- but then whenever I try it just ends in these huge arguments since she makes me feel guilty for some of the things I’ll say even though all I’m trying to do if tell her the truth… it’s just been YEARS from holding everything in. The amount of emotions I’ve held in, the things that I want to do desperately want to say out loud but can’t bc I know what the outcome with be…. So yea, this song means a lot to me. Always makes me tear up- had a whole crying session in the bathroom not long ago bc of this same song. The part where Jongho is asking if anyone is listening and asking for an embrace is what gets to me the most. I had a traumatic experience throughout middle school with someone that I lived with that led me to hate skinship/any sort of physical touch/physical affection. So bc of me always pushing my loved ones away when it came to that physical affection, they completely stopped trying. So now that I do so desperately want those embraces, I don’t get them. Sure I can ask for them, but I just don’t know how. It sucks pls- let me not continue typing as well😳🤚
