I think one of the reasons why ateez are so fascinating is because they have very different and very particular vocal timbres that you rarely hear in other groups ❤❤ but they work amazing together. I suggest you to check out San and Jongho's cover of Dear name (a-b-s-o-l-u-t-e-l-y amazing) and Dreamy Day Sound Bomb 360 😊 And of course the songs of their new album!!

Have you guys watched Jongho and San's duet cover of Dear Name by IU? They killed it! I think it especially shows off San's high notes and falsettos which I don't think you've gotten to hear from him yet and of course Jongho with his usual!

If you want to see a good demo of his range in one song, search for his cover of Empty by Winner he and Hongjoong did in a karaoke bit. Ateez is the only active group I stan, for the past 4 years, but Ive watched at least 10 Killing Voice videos (watching Winner's converted me from a casual listener into a fan who listens to them daily) & I'm always impressed by the vocals and ALWAYS wishing that my fav boys will get a gig too. I feel the need to explain this guys, I’ve been noticing your comments about singing abilities and ranges so I’m gonna break it down here. I’ve studied and know very well about vocal techniques. For men, it can be said that there are four types of vocal registers, I will name them from lowest to highest: bass, baritone, teneor, countertenor. Low register men have a tessitura that is located in the lowest notes, this is because they have very thick vocal cords and with adequate training and technique they can develop their register and expand their vocal range. The same thing happens with baritones, such as Felix from Stray Kids and many other idols. That is, baritones have a higher tessitura than basses but lower than tensors, but they can extend their range to both lower notes and higher notes. Tenors are the most common type of vocal register among men, with baritones being the second most common and bass and countertenors the rarest to find. For example, a bass singer with the right techno and with vocal training in the music industry in Korea is Ko Woorim (part of the Forestella, a quartet that I recommend reacting to). Finally there are countertenors who have the highest vocal register, with training, they can reach even soprano notes, an example is Kang Hyungho (also from Forestella). This either means that being a tenor you cannot reach countertenor or baritone notes, or being bass you cannot reach baritone or a bit of tenor notes, what happens is that by naturally belonging to a certain vocal register, you can hear the difference when a baritone sings tenor notes and that's how it happens with everyone, plus singing in your register is easier and more natural. I was surprised by them getting a Killing Voice as well, but mostly because they're still relatively young - I think they may be the first (or one of the first) fourth gen groups to get one. I guess it makes sense that Dingo continuously needs new artists for it, so they branched out to 2nd/3rd gen idols first and now they're getting younger... still interesting though

Atiny were incredibly vocal about Ateez needing to be on killing voice earlier this year so it was so exciting when this was announced! Prayers were answered. Walked out of their concert last year totally wrecked by Jongho and his instense stare up on the big screen during his parts 🫠 now him and Yeosang are both my biases! ateez is definitely not niche, like at all. they're one of the more well known groups.

I knew they were doing this but didn’t expect it to be so amazing. I actually think voice wise, San might have one of the biggest ranges too and I’m saying this as a Seonghwa bias. San also does a lot of the singing since he’s originally vocal line too. Btw you are saying Seonghwa’s name completely wrong! It’s Song-hwa not Seng-hwa!!! Utopia is even more amazing live when it’s in concert and Seonghwa still pulls off those notes when he’s been dancing!
