Seonghwa coming out of the golden egg is a reference to king Park Hyeokgeose, born in 69 BC out of an egg, as the legend goes. He was the founder of the Park clan, and is considered the ancestor of all Parks in Korea, Park Seonghwa included :) Also, there's an animated short on the Ateez channel where Mito comes out of the golden egg. Seonghwa has publicized the Mito plushie a lot by taking selfies with it and has even put on Mito masks/ears/paws at fan events (+ the whole group did a Crazy Form dance performance cosplaying as Mito, it's on YT). I have no idea what it means for their lore tho 🥲 but it must mean SOMETHING that Mito and Seonghwa are so closely associated, even coming out of the same golden egg. Seonghwa's animal is a bunny so maybe Mito is his crazy alter ego? Because the name Mito allegedly comes from Michin (crazy) and Ttokki (rabbit). The best thing about Hongjoong's rap is that the last part reminds me of a chicken clucking 😂 and Mingi slayed this whole concept 🔥our rap line never disappoints. Also, I know a lot of people are calling him Mingi Wonka (because of his Arriba live performance with the glasses and hat, and now the purple coat)... but to me he looks almost like Darkwing Duck from DuckTales 😂 with the white hair, purple coat and the strange gun he pulled out to fight the money monster. Maybe this MV just made me obsessed with seeing birds everywhere 😂😅 but he does look quite different from his Arriba Wonka concept, so who knows :3

Starting the video with the Mingi whale flop clip onto the hotel bed just set the tone so perfectly for this whole thing. I had similar reactions as you when I saw the MV, like it’s the goofiest silliest MV they’ve done in a while but I absolutely love it. It still feels like Ateez but it feels fresh too. Also, huge props for keeping their privacy while they filmed literally in your backyard. That’s amazing and encouraging to see Atiny that have their backs like that. I would LOVE to know/hear what your thoughts on the whole album are. My personal fav song is Blind but I think it’s a no skip album FOR SURE.
