It’s a great idea, Kelli! We’ve actually been talking about doing that for a while now, and just never get around to doing it! I always say I’m going to review a resort when I get home, and just never do it. I need to. I definitely want to compare Unico to Atelier, as I’ve been asked about that a lot. Perhaps also a comparison of my top 5 AO resorts. Lots of options, I just get lazy 😬

Thank you! The tips bags are given pretty much at random, and the amount…. it honesty depends on how much candy I buy beforehand as to how much i bring. Last trip I took around 50 bags for a 6 night stay. I also bring makeup samples for the maid staff (I get an Ipsy subscription) I’ll try to talk about that in my august vacation, because I don’t think I’ve ever showed the makeup tip bags in a video before 😬

Hey Tami, thanks so much! Very similar feel to Unico, but APM has a much better beach, and more entertainment. Unico is very sleepy, which is fine for me because I don’t mind going to bed at 10pm. The room design feels almost identical, but i did miss the nightly diffuser that turndown would leave on for me at Unico. I’ve been to EPM, and it was my favorite until coming here. EPM has more entertainment both days and night, and better service, . However, that might not be a fair statement since i wasn’t there during Covid. I’m going to ERC in October 🙂

@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel we were at excellence playa mujeres in May and you could feel the covid-19 effect. They were understaffed and the towel game was TERRIBLE. Still enjoyed my stay and most resorts are suffering from having to train new employees and are under staffed. Will likely take a few years until resorts fully recover from COVID-19 impact. Beach at EPM and the live bands above the swim up bar were the highlights of the resort. The nightly shows were also very good if you could ever get a seat.

@@MemoriesandMojitosTravel I am looking forward to the ERC VLOGs already! Thanks for the info. I am adding APM to my spreadsheet. Unico is on there, too. ERC has been my favorite so far, so I am always interested in comparisons. Our next visit to Mexico isn't until Jan 2022. We are going to check out Valentin and TRS. Hoping to squeeze a couple days in at Unico, too, since it is right next to Grand Palladium (TRS). Just depends on how much time I can take off of work. ;)

The hydrotherapy is included if you get a spa service, so it was included in our massage cost. It’s extra if you just want to use it separately.

Yes, they were on time both ways. I think what you’re referring to is when I said we waited 15 minutes for our shuttle to arrive. That’s standard, there isn’t enough shuttle parking for the hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people who all arrive at the same time. Sometimes you can walk right out and have your ride there. Most times by the time you grab a margarita, your ride is there. If you do a shared ride, you can wait until it fills up, and that could be over an hour. We were picked up at 7am for an 11am flight. You should be at the airport 3 hours before your flight.
