Playing Ryza 1 after playing 3 is such a trip, especially that Ryza 1 is my first Atelier game. You get to relive your early days with Ryza, and it gives me such warm feelings honestly. You are correct that Ryza, at this point is like your friend that you journeyed with, and that elevates Ryza 3 even more with all its character stories. I will never forget this journey together with Ryza, and like you, I'm anticipating the actual next Atelier title.

A year ago the only gust game I had played was fairy tail, but in the last year I played all three ryza games on my ps5 and omg what a great sub series of games, I think gust really excels with its combat systems, character development and exploration

Great video, I want to replay Ryza 1 too! For future games I would love Sophie 3, as I just finished Sophie 2 and love it. I much prefer the turn based combat of Sophie 2 to Ryza's ATB system. Sophie 2 's puzzle game style synthesis is fun too!

I 100% Ryza 1 last week and had the time of my life. I had a blast! The DLC area was fun too. I barely started Ryza 2 but I’m on vacation this week and haven’t been playing, too busy with my toes in the the sand 😂 I’m really looking forward to Ryza 3. I got all the Atelier games and DLC packs that I needed a few weeks ago when they were on sale. I’m all set for Atleier for the next year and I’m so excited!

I just completed Ryza 2. I can’t wait to play Atelier Ryza 3 ,now. I am pausing Ryza 3 , since it is the last and current Atelier game right now. I have played a little of Atelier Reslerana, it’s fun. I am going back and playing Atelier Eschy&Logy(Logy’s route) and Atelier Shallie (Shallistera’s route). So glad you didnt give up! I wanted your full on opinion about Ryza 3 🤩 you nailed it! So i quit near the end of Ryza 2 (missing ingredients for story synthesis with spamming auto synth). So i might aswell start over. I also totally forgot ryza 1. Except the story was great, but lack of characters events. YOU made me want to play Ryza 3, you showed us many different footages also. I might wait a sale until i finish ryza 1/2 (platinium maybe). Unicorn overloard is coming too. As for Resliana i quite enjoy its simplicity. Better than Atelier Marie R to say the least...

Ryza 3 was so fun I had to up the difficulty to hard so I could keep the combos going because I was killing too fast lol

I have yet to platinum Ryza 3, but it was quite the ride from beginning to end. I'll probably go back to it later this year once I clear a few other games from my backlog. My characters run around like unstoppable wrecking balls with the equipment I crafted. Throw a explosive item, generate 200k damage in one hit. I'm sure it could go higher, but it's not necessary.

Glad to see that you grew to love this game! I still have some pretty big issues with the game, but it still is a very strong entry and a superb ending to the trilogy. Most of the issues I still have with the game ultimately boil down to the scope and ambition of the game though, such as poor story pacing, unnecessarily large world, and weak localization. However, I still really enjoyed the approx 55 hours I spent with the game, even if I did start to feel a bit fatigued by the end. I've only played thru the Ryza and Mysterious trilogies (working on L&S right now), and I'd still put Ryza 3 as my third favorite below Sophie 2 and Ryza 2 (although I've been REALLY enjoying L&S so far, so if the second half stays strong, it might just take that 3rd place spot).

They should mix it up a bit. I kinda miss the relaxing easy map navigation and turn based battle systems from previous entries. It was also more satisfactory for me when my item arsenal was the focus instead of deciding if i want skill power and do a bumch of melee attacks and timed blocks.

Ryza 3 came out a day before my birthday last year and I was thrilled when I picked up the Collectors Edition on my way to Uni, though I had my issues with the game I still had a great time. As a side note Atelier Resleriana though it's a mobile game it is part of the mainline games and isn't a spin off, though I've had a bit of fun with it, it shouldn't be a mainline game.

That SvS cloth poster is very typical in Japanese releases, but I'm surprised they did it for the western release. I like it personally, but it would have probably been better to release it as separate merch and used something more tame for the game bundle.

i like the concept of this jrpg but cannot fathom how any game still looks like this in 2024.

Ryza 2 is still my favorite, with Ryza 3 at a close second. my only issue with Ryza 3 is it felt like they gave us too much open world that quickly distracted from the mysterious islands. i honestly lost insterest 1/3 of the way through, but powered through and glad that i did.

I have found now that there are a lot of games I disliked at 30fps that I now like at 60fps, with ryza 3 bring the perfect example of this, a game being smoother and performing better can definitely make the experience a lot more enjoyable, but on the other end if a game runs slowly, doesn't perform very well and chugs at times can really ruin your experience with a game, given that I hated this game on the switch, I dunno how else to say this but it just felt bad to play, then I decided to give the game another chance but thought I might enjoy it more on the ps5, and oh god, I completely fell in love, the very same game that I just couldn't get into on the switch all of a sudden became one of my favorite JRPGs on the ps5, just because of how much more smooth the game felt, not only does it feel much better to play but it also looks a lot more vibrant and much less blurry on the ps5, and now that you can turn off depth of field and motion blur it's even better, no more blurry backgrounds lol, it was a night and say difference, ill will be playing all my JRPGs on the ps5 from here on out, I never realized it before but it's amazing how the performance of a game can either ruin or enhance the experience
