AtGames Support Is Horrible - Can I Fix Legends Gamer Mini? - Full Teardown & Test With Evercade VS

A channel member was kind enough to donate an AtGames Legends Gamer Mini to the channel. Unfortunately, the control deck is not working properly when playing games. After emailing ‪@AtGamesGaming‬ two times with no response I have no choice but to take matters into my own hands. I'm going open it up and see if I can fix it. Did I fix it?

AtGames has made some interesting stuff as of late... But their customer service is absolutely trash. They don't care once they got your money. From my experience it seems like half the people working for them in the US have no idea how these products even work... 😂

I have the Atgames pro controller, with the two controllers and trackball. It doesn't work well with the Evercade.. It won't respond to the buttons I map to start and select.

I'm so bummed about this. This was brand new, sealed in the box. I hope AtGames (even though they suck donkey balls) gets back to you. Sorry Ed.

It appears others have had the same issues and have posted about it on Reddit. Everything from opening /reseeding connections to firmware update and factory resetting. Have you tried it with the included Puck and/or your PC? There's also a guide online that seems to cover all the bases of getting it setup and troubleshooting.

It has the same issue with the joystick connected to my PC. At first, I thigh it might be a firmware issue, but the problem isn't with the puck. The issue appears to be faulty hardware on the joystick. I suspect the board that controls the power or the main board in the deck. The issue got worse over time as well. 😪 Thanks for your feedback. 👍

Looks like a faulty USB port on the joystick, is it USB to USB or type C to USB ? , maybe try a new wire ?

It could very well be that. It's a USB-A to USB-A cable. The issue happens with both Bluetooth or wired. I would be happy if AtGames sent me new a new power board and the main board, which has the mini the USB. They don't need to send me an entire unit as I don't mind swapping out the boards.
