With regards to argumentative structure of the two speakers, it seems like *Phil's arguments are simply:* There are many possibilities for the explanation of xyz, and each explanation is equally as probable as the other. *Mohammed's arguments are simply:* There are many possibilities for explanation of xyz, but explanation abc is more probable because it's more intellectually satisfying, while the rest aren't as intellectually satisfying. Out of the two, I'd say Mohammed's argument makes the most sense. By looking at any subject of the universe as a whole, even something so microscopic as DNA, the patterns suggest a design; and design *infers* intelligence. This is the most probable explanation and most intellectually satisfying, "fitting like a glove," as Mohammed puts it.

How does a snowflake look complex and designed under a microscope?
@helsharidy1237 жыл бұрын
Patje What pattern? A snowflake cannot have a pattern with itself. I didn't say a singular DNA strand has a pattern, but it surely follows a repeated, recurring design with other strands of DNA, which is the definition of a pattern: a repeating, recurring design. Suppose the opposite of DNA not having a pattern. Suppose it wasn't a repeated, recurring design, but completely random, how would we look? We'd likely not be able to function considering the danger a genetic mutation is to life, let alone a completely random genetic sequence (wouldn't even be called a sequence, at that point, because a sequence requires order and randomness is not order). Most mutants don't last long to reproduce, if they can at all. Bringing it back to your singular snowflake example, if this snowflake, when compared to other snowflakes, follows a similar pattern, then they have a repeated, recurring design. Which means they have a designer, by the definition of the word. The following question should be: well, how could this be the case? The laws of physics govern the formation of these snowflakes, so it's likely this is responsible for the pattern. The next question should be "well why are the laws of physics the way they are" and the answer, is quite frankly, they were designed by an intelligent designer to be so. This is the most intellectually satisfying answer because the laws of physics are rules, or laws. For laws to exist, there must have been a law giver. They can't just be there because they're there. A common argument against this is the universe is self-sufficient and operates in a way to support life, which is why life exists, and therefore we don't need God. Even if this argument is the case, it begs the question "Well who wrote and designed that law of self-sufficiency in place?" So yes, although a snowflake is not as complex as DNA, it follows patterns of snowflakes as a whole, through the laws of physics, and therefore has a designer.

1. God cannot be proven nor be disproved. 2. Which is more intellectually satisfying is still not evidence for a Creator, if it were why does everyone not agree. 3. The universe having a design might beg the argument as to a designer, however this universe is still not "Perfect for life". Again, the only thing you have brought forward is one in a million possibilities which you mentioned, which is intellectually satisfying in this scenario has clearly not even begun to fixed the "We don't Know" problem. Preferably you should start from either nothing started nothing or something already was in existence and I could go on and on about the possibilities. The point I am trying to make is even if the universe was fine tuned by a creator, your theory is still filled with bias because the cosmos does not give a crap about your life, an earthquake can strike you right now and you would still think that God spoke, how insane and insulting to be intellectually satisfying, humans always try to feel special, always trying to personalize the interpretation of the universe, only living in a bubble, so again I point out the Universe might support life for a while in a given place and time but it is "NOT" "PERFECT" for life which would speak to the character of the designer which could never in infinite years care about your theories and ideas and concepts of reality. This does not speak to an all loving creator.

Hatem Elsharidy you check should out Zam Zam water miracles or scientific experiments done to it. There is one God and he has sent messengers and prophets to guide humans in humanly form, to make it easy for people. And the planet earth is specifically made for human life and other life as we know it. Jinn's too, the planet earth have animals for human consumption as food or for irrigation traveling and so on. The air we breath the photosynthesis that happens in plants all correlates to God ( Allah ). Other religions were made after the prophets left, and misinterpreted. Jews, Christians and Islam are the only ones that consist of Allah. But 2 of them have been lost with time, Islam is the last book came after Jesus As to guide all of humanity for the rest of time till day of judgement , it's very simple. Also all these religions prophets used to pray with head to the ground. Other religions in world are just human curiosity that killed the human not the cat in this case. lol you're a smart guy, you should search Islam, Prophet Muhammad if you haven't yet. A small fact , the word " man " and " women " in Quran is repeated exactly 23 times each, what do U get when a man and a women have a child ( reproduction to life ) a new human, which consists of 46 chromosomes, half from the father ( Male ) and half from the mother ( Female ). There's miracles and signs that lead to miracles everywhere in life, you have to look from a different lens. Anyways Salam to you all.

SubhanAllah it goes to show with all that knowledge that people in the field of science have they subconsciously pick and choose certain ideas and project it to the people to give the false idea that its highly probable when in fact they are meddling in philosophy.
