His example is a perfect example of the truth of what Jesse is saying "if your father Robs a Bank why should the child be punished for that"? In fact if the father is a criminal the children are probably going to suffer and that's just a natural fact. Who would deny that the wicked Deeds of parents who become alcoholics or drug abusers or criminals are not the cause of the suffering of their children? If there is no God then the suffering of all humanity is utterly meaningless. If there is a God suffering has a purpose and when push comes to shove so to speak who can deny that?

@diegosaenz4505
@diegosaenz4505 4 жыл бұрын
@James Whitmore The evidence is simple to present. Most quantum theorist believe in the big bang theory. That the universe came from nothing. Now common sense and everyone believes something has to come from something. A creator creates something. A builder builds a home, a painter paints a painting. The child comes from the parents. Nothing cannot come from nothing and if it can find an example where something comes from something. Now I believe in a creator and show you logically that there is a creator and its your job to discredit the arguement (answer will not satisfy you i know) Now Chrisitanity being the true religion. Their is a book called a bible which was basically written approxinately 60 years after the gospel. Before Jesus their was predicitions of him and his works. They predicted that God would walk amongst us. They predicted that he would die for our sins and live a Holy life. Finally they predicted the resurrection of Christ. Now athiest scientist and christians society along with other religion know that Jesus existed. They know he lived a holy life. They know he got crucified. And lastly they know of the resurrection and the enpty tomb. Which was predicted before, happened, and no evidence has been presented that this did not occur. They also show that when he resurrected a lot of people had accounts of seeing him after. The truth of the matter, if I presented video evidence of Jesus works it would not be enough for you to believe in his existence. Historians archeologist and quantum physicist have not disproved these theories and actually side that a supernatural God is more possible of creation. Ravi quotes several renown quantum physicist including Stephen Hawking's on the big bang theory and their finding. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rNVnnc56yNyqeH0.html

@James Whitmore Thanks for the reply and being cool about it. Nornally people argue or become hateful. Because with the start of the big bang that is when time and energy started. So God in order to exist needs to exist outside of time and space. I know bible reference will not help my arguement but it does state in the bible in Genesis In the beginning (creation of time) God created the heavens and earth (space and matter). Which the bible was speaking of the big bang theory before it was even a theory of the existence of the universe. Which shows evidence that God exist. The problem is no theory does not argue against that and for that reason its difficult to argue against the bible.

Right. For one thing, he says that we have a built in sense of right and wrong, but he can't explain it with his worldview. He basically slips God in under that idea. This is only one of his contradictions.
@michaelstanton3470
@michaelstanton3470 3 жыл бұрын
@Kenny Taylor Of course! But examine your whole worldview. Have you *fully thought through* the implications of a completely material world? Are you sure that you didn't import some ideas from a worldview that includes the notion of spirit? For example, if we are purely material, then free will is illusory, because your every thought is a chemical result of previous thoughts. If you really believe this, then you will never experience anxiety, because you are only a "passenger" in a mechanism that goes along of it's own accord. You probably do experience worry though. You probably believe you need to take action, or stop taking action, and you try to align what you do to what you *think* you should do. This supervisory activity is not explained by materialism. It's glossed over. Or it's described as a "necessary illusion." That becomes a very complex belief system, which divides the intellect ("I know this is not true, and yet I must act as if it is," etc.). Do you think that is a better place to stand than the simpler explanation that you are not material alone, but something more? But yes, stand there all you like and I hope it's a good thing for ya! All the best :).

@@the_feature_selector859 I don't understand your objection. Shouldn't we use logic to "speak on" any subject worthy of discussion? 50:30 Uh, Shermer... I got some real bad news for you buddy :( EDIT: I can hardly believe how quickly the sinner reveals his sin. Jesse makes him squirm until he confesses: his wife is placed into the hands of dangerous/satanic men and Shermer is apologetic toward them. Amazin'. You can tell this is very serious because he is emotionally upset about it. Not only that, but then he uses Christ as an example for how to handle the situation, and uses the example of throwing stones at whores. Jesus said not to harm them, not that they hadn't sinned.

Im not saying people should blindly choose one way to go over the other without being rational, and logical about it, im saying if you define yourself as a centrist and a skeptic it sounds like qualities a women should aim to have, instead of defining yourself as a decision maker, which are qualities a man should aim to have.
