Atheist Richard Dawkins Gets Owned by God! ┇FUNNY┇
Lecture: Deceit of Atheism
Presented by: Sh. Abdurraheem Green (A.R. Green)
Official Website: www.IslamsGreen.org

Full Lecture: • Deceit of Atheism - Ab...
Sheikh Abdurraheem Green Bio:
Born in Dar-es-salaam in Tanzania to British parents, Green's father (born in England), Gavin Green, was a colonial administrator in the then extant British Empire. At an early age he moved back to the UK with his parents. His mother is of original Polish origin.
At the age of 10 he attended a Roman Catholic Monastic boarding school at Gilling Castle and then went onto Ampleforth College and went on to study history in the London University. However, he left his education unfinished in an effort to devote himself to Islamic works. He became dissatisfied with Christianity at the age of 8, with it not making sense to him. Green researched and practiced many religions, including Buddhism (for 3 years) before embracing Islam.
Whilst in Britain his father got a job in 1976 working for Barclays Bank International and was subsequently sent to Cairo, Egypt, to set up a branch of the Bank there.
His study of the Noble Qur'an immediately attracted him to Islam and he embraced Islam in 1988. He has been a Daw'ah practitioner in Britain since then. Green now works in the London Central Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre as the Visits and English Dawa Co-ordinator.
Green is seen akin to lecturers such as Dr. Zakir Naik, Dr. Bilal Philips, Khalid Yasin and Yvonne Ridley, doing many lectures on Islam worldwide and also in London's famous Hyde Park, Speakers Corner.

This guy didn't own richard dawkins, read the title once more, it says "Atheist Richard Dawkins Gets Owned by God" if you had carefully watched the video, you'd understand that Richard Dawkins gets owned by himself by saying "oh god" when he himself doesn't believe in god. That shows that this guy on the video is actually right when he says that believing in god is instinctive.

***** then why is it the case for all languages in the world? if it was "merely a common saying" wouldn't it be the case for english only? The believe in god is universal, even native americans (indians) were believer, if you go in any tribe in amazonia you will see that they believe in deity entity. That means that the believe in god is instinctive.

***** science doesn't oppose religion, there is a difference between trying to understand how rocks fall on the ground or grass turn yellow on fall and how this rock or grass is here in the first place... how comes me as a human being is able to live, to be more intelligent than any animal on earth and have emotions. How comes i have a consciousness that no other creature on the world have. So it's only natural to think that there is an intelligence that gave me intelligence. So yeah, i repeat it a third time, belief is instinctive.
@omatbaydaui722

oh, so you are actually telling me that my intelligence, consciousness and emotions just "poped up" from nowhere without any reason throught evolution? Im sorry, but you'r the one who is being ignorant here. Such intelligence and complexity of the world is all but coincidences. If you want to live a meaningless life, you can do so, but don't criticize other people to try to find consistency and meaning in theirs.

Doniyorbek Abdullaev well the universe had to start somewhere. And asking what was before the big bang is like asking where you are if you are in the middle of the north pole and you go north. It has nothing to do with wrong math, it just means atheists would rather say "I don't know, but it's possible that..." rather than saying "I don't know, therefore a god did it"

thaiden03 religion rɪˈlɪdʒ(ə)n/Submit noun the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. "ideas about the relationship between science and religion" synonyms: faith, belief, divinity, worship, creed, teaching, doctrine, theology; More a particular system of faith and worship. plural noun: religions "the world's great religions" Atheism does not have any sort of supernatural concept. It doesn't have faith, belief, divinity, worship, creed, teaching, doctrine, theology. Not even the worship of desires like you think atheists worship. Sure it is something that people, religious or non religious pursue but that is not worship of desires. It would be the same as saying that you worship the internet or television because you spend a lot of time with these devices. Doesn't make any sense, nor does it fit the definition of worship. worship ˈwəːʃɪp/Submit noun 1. the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity. "worship of the Mother Goddess" synonyms: reverence, revering, worshipping, veneration, venerating, adoration, adoring, -olatry, devotion, praise, thanksgiving, praising, praying to, glorification, glorifying, glory, exaltation, exalting, extolment, extolling, homage, respect, honour, honouring, esteem; More religious rites or ceremonies, constituting a formal expression of reverence for a deity. "the church was opened for public worship" synonyms: service, church service, religious rite, religious act, prayer, prayer meeting, praise, devotion, religious observance; More great admiration or devotion shown towards a person or principle. "the worship of celebrity and wealth" synonyms: admiration, adulation, idolization, deification, lionization, hero-worship "he contemplated the pin-up with worship" archaic honour given to someone in recognition of their merit. 2. BRITISH used in addressing or referring to an important or high-ranking person, especially a magistrate or mayor. "we were soon joined by His Worship the Mayor" verb verb: worship; 3rd person present: worships; past tense: worshipped; past participle: worshipped; gerund or present participle: worshipping; past tense: worshiped; past participle: worshiped; gerund or present participle: worshiping 1. show reverence and adoration for (a deity). "the Maya built jungle pyramids to worship their gods" synonyms: revere, reverence, venerate, pay homage to, honour, adore, praise, pray to, bow down before, glorify, exalt, extol; More It does not have organized worship of an idol in a specific altar or building. Another fundamental aspect of religion. Thus atheism can not fulfill the definition of a religion. Atheism is the rejection of a claim. atheism ˈeɪθɪɪz(ə)m/Submit noun disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. synonyms: non-belief, non-theism, disbelief, unbelief, scepticism, doubt, agnosticism, irreligion, godlessness, ungodliness, profaneness, impiety, heresy, apostasy, paganism, heathenism, freethinking, nihilism "atheism is virtually unknown in rural societies" That is all that atheism is. Here is something you might want to read so that at least you would know what you are talking about. I mean that is pretty important to know what atheism and religion by definition mean before you even start asserting comments about them. atheism.about.com/od/definitionofatheism/p/AtheismReligion.htm So now it has been demonstrated that your original assertion is way off.

Actually DO animals have reasoning... when you train your dog to not pee or poop in the house, that training is based on reason from the dog. 'If I do this, then I am punished'. This is reasoning used by a dog. If animal instinct was at play, it would piss where ever it wants or bite the hand which feeds it... which is also another example of reasoning by an animal: I shall not bite the hand that feeds me

***** This inherent tendency to believe in gods to explain things causes humans to believe in all sorts of gods. Look through history and see that basically each culture had its own set of gods. The Vikings had one set. The Aztecs another. The Egyptians yet another. On and on. If a god exists and made humans this way in an attempt to make them naturally believe in him, he did a terrible job. I think that any god that does exist would've easily been able to make this work in his favor, but it doesn't, suggesting that it was not put in place by a god. Besides all of that, this wouldn't make sense from an Islamic perspective because Allah guides who he wants and misguides who he wants, so why give everyone a natural inclination to believe anything? You just get a logical mess when you try to use this as evidence that a god exists, and particularly so when you say that god is Allah.

greg manson well i dont think the quran was meant to be written as a science book, judging it by that criteria is absurd, read it as it is said to be read, a message from the creator to its creation 'who ponder/reflect'. Dont bring in quantum mechanics to test if its really from God... so when it says the creator sits on a throne, realise that it was written to address humans, and thus written in a way that is comprehensible to us, our societies...almost every civilization on earth has a hierarchical structure, and usually the leaders of such structures r seated on thrones... so when god says he is on a throne know that he is 'the King/owner of the day of judgement', so that his position is made clear relative to ours...

The human mind is a product of the mind of "God". Why is geometry so prevalent throughout all major religions? Why did Plato say to Plutarch "God geometrizes continually"? Why did Kepler state that geometry is a "reflection from the mind of God"? Why do certain sound frequencies produce intricate geometric patterns (cymatics)? Why does the recent discovery of the amplituhedron in quantum mechanics suggest that the universe arose out of "pure" geometry? Why do we see complex geometric patterns when we use psychedelics or become proficient at spiritual disciplines? Answer: Geometry is the language of "God". Simple, really.

Also, in Britain, when there is heavy rainfall, it is common to say `it's raining cats and dogs.' This does not mean that we believe that wet cats and dogs are falling from the sky, it is just a figure of speech. Similarly, in a moment of anger, sadness or nerves, it is common to say `oh God', even if you do not believe in god.

"A major piece of scientific research", really? I call bullshit on that. I have no doubt that researchers discovered that god, as a concept, only exists in the minds of the people who believe in him, but that's different from saying that we know god exists from birth, because that's factually untrue. So many lies from this religion that the new ones don't amaze me anymore. BTW, for any religious zealots looking to post mean shit towards me, before you do you should know that there is a tribe called the Pirahã that have no concept of god whatsoever. They exist, more peacefully than most religious monotheists it seems, without submission. Food for thought.

M_Thre3 " y is it that nothing else is evolving into higher species", higher than what? Can you fly? Not without an airplane, but sparrows fly very well. Can you breathe under water? No, but fish can. Just because human evolution favored brain power does not make us "higher" than other animals, just slightly different. If you want to understand evolution you should read a book on it, because right now it's clear you don't understand this topic at all. "u saying that its just out of nothing wat this world and the universe", buddy, we don't know what "something" is yet, so we can't know what "nothing" is. The only thing we do know is that we are here, and we have no clue what is outside our universe. We don't know if there are other universes, if there is just one god or 75, or if the being that made our universe was actually a pink and purple gay unicorn. The fact is we just don't know. This is where you and I are different; I don't know, and I'm honest in saying so whereas you LIE and tell me you do know what's out there. In fact not only do you know this being exists, but you even know it's name, and what it expects of us. This is bullshit, nonsensical religious bullshit. Maybe there is a god, maybe not, but if there is it didn't create us, we evolved, and it doesn't hate homosexuals, want us to dress women us from head to toe and forbid them do go outside by themselves, or throw innocent people in jail for the bullshit crime of blasphemy. " the last and final book has the most proven scientific facts to date", the Quran is full of mistakes, would you like to discuss a few of them?

M_Thre3 "how did i lie?", because you can't possibly know whether there is a god or not, yet you say things like "we have a set of rules that we must follow. the the last and final book...", and follow it up with nonsense like "the most proven scientific facts to date and there are still facts today that or being proven", which is false on its face. Science has not vindicated any holy book, rather it continuously shows how they are false; the Quran is no different. Here are a few... 1. the moon split in two 2. Mohammed flew to heaven on a winged creature 3. embryology: copies Aristotle, including where Aristotle got it wrong ie layers of skin, leech like 4. physiology: how babies are made, where sperm is made...etc. 5. mountains stabilize the Earth There are more, but I think we can just focus on one or two at a time. Cheers!

@TommoCW1
@TommoCW1 8 жыл бұрын
M_Thre3 1. The moon didn't split in two, it just didn't 2. Did Jesus walk on water? Did Prometheus give fire to humans? Is thunder caused by Thor? You probably think these are all nonsensical claims, but what makes yours any different? People like you talk about how "unlikely" something like evolution is, and at the same time you believe a warlord 1400 years ago flew up to heaven on a winged animal to have a convo with god and other prophets? This is called "cognitive dissonance". Evolution is not only likely, but has a ton of evidence backing it up, you're flying Mohammed theory has nothing. 3. I'm not watching some bullshit video. I've been debating this for over a year now, so I'm sure there's nothing in this video I need to hear. Here are the facts, the Quran follows Aristotle, and Aristotle was wrong, therefore the Quran is wrong. 4. The spermatic cord is not how babies are made. This is grade school biology, an ovum comes from the ovary of a woman, and that joins with the sperm of a man which grows in the testes, OUTSIDE the body. The Quran says babies are made from a drop emanating from inside the body, so it's wrong. 5. I know I've asked this question before, and so far no one has been able to competently support this claim. It's a simple fact that mountains don't stabilize the Earth. if you don't believe me just look inside any grade 4 geology textbook, or ask a Japanese person just how stabilizing mountains are.

Oh god I cant believe he based his argument on the phrase "Oh god" if dawkins had said "Oh shit" would he have assumed dawkins turned to a sentient turd in times of need - no of course not "Oh god" is just a phrase why does it seem like religious people attack dawkins with more hostility than should be needed more or less all of his argument with regards to biology is based on fact. partially I understand why they're annoyed when he says things like the world being better without religion but that's his beleif just as religious peoples is to believe in god
@thetwofootninja

because Dawkins, being quite honest and therefore harsh outlines very flawed truthful aspects about religion the relgious people cant go against what he says as his argument is just stronger than theirs notice how any gnostic theist wont get annoyed by dawkins but an agnostic theist will. (for those that don't know gnostic and agnostic refer to with knowledge for gnostic and without knowledge for agnostic an agnostic atheist being someone who does not beilve in god however doesn't have much evidence to back up their point and an gnostic atheist being somone like dawkins who actually is well informed) before criticising somone who evidently has more information on the subject than you please do some reaserch the chances are you look petty agnostic does not refer to somone who is unsure of the existance of god but just means that they are without knowledge people who are aggressive to dawkins are often agnostic theists meaning they believe in god however have very little to back up their points: these people will post a lot about what they believe however often look stupid from a theistic perspective it usually implies that they are just better people because they believe in god therefore god exists which is ridiculous the same can be found in agnostic atheists who comment equally as ridiculous and stupid things (very often offensive) these agnostic athiest/theist people who express an ill informed view on a rather large topic often appear as hostile

I have some news for you, Sunnah. Atheistic people often say "Oh, God", but only when they mean: 1. "Oh, god... Another religious nutcase is sermonning me about some commonly accepted moral, determined long before the existence of the religion they're proclaiming. 2. "Oh, god... I can't believe I cannot remember the name of a book I read, which completely negates religion". (Perhaps because the content is far more substantial than the title!? (unlike religion)). or 3. General uncertainty... How ironic. The phrase "Oh, God" is simply a lamentation of self-commiseration; to feel pity for ones-self as there is nothing/no-one else there to pity you the way you need to be pittied.

What a pathetic video. I personally have experienced near death, I did not pray to some fake god. Dawkins does not praise Darwin as god, you praise your god as a god. There is a difference. Asking someone to know the arbitrary uncommonly used name for a book means absolutely nothing. Dawkins is an educated scientist that knows far more about life now than Darwin ever did. Which is totally reasonable considering when darwin was around.

God is put in to action when we don't understand something. It is shown all throughout different religions even going back to the Greeks. Once you start understanding a thing or two about the universe, that's when you realize that god is not a factor and does not exist. You realize that everything that was explained through the implication of god can be explained through natural process.

@abdulmoid6143
@abdulmoid6143 6 жыл бұрын
kingnish however long you trace back existence one thing is for certain For us to exist something had to always be there, for something to exist now If you believe the universe always existed with no God then explain how the big bang could lead to such a perfect sequence of events that forms conscious intelligent humans in a world perfectly designed to sustain them. It is more rational to admit God always existed and he designed the universe.
@abdulmoid6143
@abdulmoid6143 6 жыл бұрын
kingnish The difference is I'm not saying the existence of the universe is proof. If for example life always existed then I could agree with you, but from science we know that once there was no life no Earth and a very intelligent process after the big bang led to us. So it is the process that is proof of God. If you believe the universe always existed but theres no God then dna would have to form by chance, which is simply impossible. So I believe the thing that was always there, that did not have to be created was God.
@abdulmoid6143
@abdulmoid6143 6 жыл бұрын
kingnish alot of religious people don't rule out evolution because we know God created us but we haven't been told the exact process he used. And rna is separate from dna not it's building block. I'm not sure u understand the complexity of a single dna molecule. It's irrational to say a dna molecule formed on its own. Then a thousand other dna molecules. Each coding for the correct protein in the correct proportions to form structures and perform basic tasks. And this is needed to form even the most basic of life such as a bacteria. The formation of any form of life is proof of God.
@abdulmoid6143
@abdulmoid6143 6 жыл бұрын
kingnish atoms are randomly moving. How did randomly moving particles first form adenine thyamine guanine cytosine Adenine able to pair with thyamine Guanine with cytosine And then millions of these bases wrote a ludicrously complex code to form a protein. And then this happened a thousand times more to form just the right proteins with just the right dna code repeatedly. Can you imagine random motion of particles leading to this and the formation of bacteria eventually? A bacteria with millions of dna molcules in a nucleus nicely enclosed in a cytoplasm, and a cell membrane and cell wall. Everything doing a function, intelligently placed. The formation of life is clearly intelligent.
@abdulmoid6143
@abdulmoid6143 6 жыл бұрын
kingnish because as is I said, one certain thing is that something had to always exist. Either an empty universe with no God was always there or a God was always there. Ur argument would be okay if life always existed, but we know that life was formed. You don't understand the complexity of a living organism when you say it only had to happen in a single atom. A singer living organism like a bacteria would need billions of atoms to coordinate perfectly to form life. A rational mind would think that randomly moving atoms couldn't have possibly done this on their own. How can evolution start if it's so impossible to form any basic unit of life without guiding the atoms. Do u think if I connected a keyboard and a computer with a empty hard drive. And every key was pressed 100% randomly, that at some point a perfect artificial intelligence software could be coded? That's irrational to say yes to this.

This guy forgot to mention the findings of the research: people living in cities in highly developed countries were less likely to hold religious beliefs than those living a more rural way of life, the researchers found; children below the age of five found it easier to believe in some “superhuman” properties than to understand human limitations and so on. In definitive, as the academics found out, religion is less likely to thrive in populations living in cities in developed nations where there is already a strong social support network. Meaning, where there is culture and knowledge religion isn't needed, fictional science that it is. It thrives where culture and intellectual mind capabilities are really poor of hugely limited.

Yes, sometimes we may happen to mechanically say "Oh God..." or "Gosh!" when lost for words or in certain situations but it has actually nothing to do with actual instinct as such. TheSabatuer I watched some of his lectures and really he failed to convince me with his twisted arguments indeed. The trouble is that people are told to respect their ancestors' ways and continue on the same path which leads to not develop any further. But the so-called prophet did actually upset the then pagans by destroying their faith and gods in which they believed and surely it also meant disrespecting his own ancestors in doing so. The bottom line is that moving on and progressing further does not mean disrespecting what our ancestors believed in since they were living with their times as I wouldn't feel offended if my descendants were to have different beliefs and way of life in the name of progress and an even better existence than mine, hope they do! That's the danger of such religions today.
