- "Pink Flamingo" for Bao Buns
- "Falafel tou Psyrri" for falafel
- "Hoocut" for pita gyros
- "Mr. Puffs" for Loukoumades

What a great Athens street food video 👍. My wife and I both love your weekly videos. I like it too how you showed a variety of different international foods and didn't follow the typical Athens food vloggers who all show the same spots (ie Diporto). Also there is a spot I really enjoyed (2018) in the old Varvakios market. On the main aisle of the meat market, they had lots of tables. I forget the name but it is an excellent place for fish, chicken, and their tzatziki with dill was amazing. Note: If you are okay eating beside a hanging lamb carcass 😉 😉.

Such a nice video. Spent time in Athens in September 2022 and couldn't get enough gyros. I had the best gyro at a shop in Athens that is next door to a McDonalds. The place is family owned and has been there since 1879. The name of the place has a long greek name. Its near the Acropolis and all the shopping. The loukomadas part of the video was just hilarious. You girls have way too much fun. Keep those videos coming.

Str food - this is the name of a great street burger in Athens, near kapnikarea church in ermou Street. You don't want to miss it it is absolutely great. Right next you will stumble upon Koukouvaya - the new hot spot for the best deserts in town. I guarantee you will love both of these, happy weekend ladies! 🌧️✨

Enjoyed your videos. I must tell you something we say in Greece... about those two on the motorcycle that said "hallo". We call those guys "γύπες" means vultures. Ask a Greek woman about them...😂

Great video! Food tours are always appreciated! There is a pie shop that i love called Starata. Also one with Russian Piroski called Καλίνκα - Μαλίνκα. Finally i would suggest giving a try to Overoll! Great croissants!

Very good vlog. I plan on watching all your videos'. I am coming in May solo. I don't speak Greek, so hope it wont be a problem. I will be in Athens for 10 days and probably do a trip to Hydra for one day. Any advise and tips are appreciated.

Ladies, i really enjoyed your gastronomic adventure! I didn't know much about food, in the center. Especially i liked "Pink Flamingo". It is a out of the usual, Greek cuisine. The original Athenian pita-souvlaki (in Thessalonike souvlaki is the kalamaki - the one with the stick - so there is pita-gyro or pita-souvlaki, etc) whether this is with gyros or whatever, it has no fries in it, just the meat, tomatoes, onion, tzatziki and roasted paprika. This is the original Athenian souvlaki, and the fries are on the side. *But I have to say two things:* one I very much like the simplicity and honesty of your videos, and two, I realized that when it comes to eating and in regard of quantities, Im no match to you; Im out of the competition. : ) Regards EDIT: "there's always room for loukoumades", *yeap, that's what I mean!*

Thank you so much🥰 Oh that's a very difficult question, it really depends on where you eat😊 Athens has a lot of affordable places and tavernas, and a lot of street food like you saw in this video😋 But you also have a lot of fancy restaurants with really good food that is more expensive🇬🇷

Okey, so maybe around 30 euro/day on food for 1 person😊 You can absolutely find cheaper than that and of course a lot more expensive than that🙃 But with 30 euro you will be fine😁🇬🇷

@@athenswives thanks! I noticed that the key is finding a nice place to stay near the acropolis that is reasonably priced. Most places are airbnb rentals as well but few hotels around the area…

Love the video you ladies are awesome and full of life💚💚💚 Where r u guys from? As a souvlaki fanatic I'll give you some must go places in Athens and what to order. Here we go: Κώστα σουβλάκι πλατεία Αγίας Ειρήνης στο Μοναστηράκι. He's got the best souvlaki in Athens and it's famous tomato sauce. You want to get them with everything τυλιχτα (wrapped in pita). Thanasis kebab in Monastiraki as well. You want to order kebab μερίδα comes with 4 kebabs or 2 and tomatoes at the charcoal onions parsley and you want to sprinkle red pepper on everything. For the best mpifteki you want to go in Omonoia square to Λευτέρης ο Πολίτης he only serves one thing mpifteki in pita with everything. It's inside a block away. Thank me later😂 So happy you enjoyed Greece🇬🇷💙🤘🤘🤘

Κοριτσια, αν θελετε να φατε καλο Ελληνικο φαγητο, δεν θα το βρειτε στο κεντρο. Τα καλα μαγαζια με αυθεντικο Ελληνικο φαγητο ειναι εκτος κεντρου. Αν οι αντρες σας ειναι Ελληνες, πιθανον θα ξερουν. Αν δεν ξερουν, παρτε τους και παμε ολοι μαζι σε αλλες περιοχες να φαμε.
