Athi Varadharai Kandeero Tamil Devotional Song. This Song is a special dedication to Athi Varadhar.
Athi Varadar is the original idol of the Varadaraja Perumal Temple in Kanchipuram, made from wood from a Fig Tree (hence the name).The idol was worshipped by the likes of Ramanujacharya, Vedanta Desikan, Manavala Mamunigal. But it had a minor damage, and had to be replaced, as per Agamas. So a new Vigraham was brought from a nearby place, Pazhaya Seevaram, and was kept in place of Athi Varadar.

The authorities at kanchipuram should have played these soul stirring bhakti churning songs in the speakers all round the venue. People would have naturally soaked in the feel while waiting in queue.

Dear Prassanna can you post a video where we could see you live singing this song with or without music ? Want to see you singing on high pitch when you call varadhaaaaa... Hari eeeee......from the core of your heart. And also the last alapana leading to srinivaaasa ..varadha part. Would be blessed and privileged to see your facial expressions while you are emoting your bhava. Also the chorus singers singing narayana adds to the feel of melancholy and pain of Separation of divinity felt by the devotee. You are not just SINGER PRASSANNA You are SINGER PRASSANNA ALWAR.

You are being very modest. I am not trained in music. Yet i could sing. If there is one song i have to master, this is the one. However i don't know how to sing that varadhaa, hariee, and other alapanas. Cant i sing them by Hearing one? Only a professional singer can sing it or what prasssanna?

you know what prassanna, you inviting an unknown fan like a personal friend.....i don't have any words to say. Its not for the singer in you i want to come and see, its for the amazing human in you that i don't want to miss seeing. So i come, i see prassanna, i hear prassana, then go back carrying memories just as i came to kanchi, saw varadhar, went back with him in memories. I was very fortunate to see varadhar in both kolams. In the same regard seeing you will roundoff athivaradhar vaibavam to me. Thankyou for keeping an ordinary fan in your thoughts. I am moved.
