Somewhat athletic, a recent echo cardiogram, ct, and chest x ray indicated that I have a larger than normal ascending aorta. I feel fine, all other tests including a stress test are unremarkable, with the exception of the larger than normal diameter of the descending aorta at the heart. I'm not worried about it, and really don't see it as a threat. However, I've dropped 60 lbs in order to take pressure off of it. I'm male, 70 years old, 6', and now 185 lbs.
