WOW. As a first-time expecting mom who didn't grow up in a Christ-centered family (and neither did my husband) but who has always DREAMED of raising a God-honoring family and building a generational legacy of faith, videos like this bless us more than you know. The transparency, honesty, respectful communication between parents + kids... plus your intentional practices of loving them and helping them know they are loved, rooted in their worth, identity, and God's truth... all of this is so priceless. And reading the free resource y'all provided (thank you for creating and sharing that!!) moves my heart - to hear that these beautiful letters have now become some of your kids' most prized treasures. Thank you Bevere family for giving so many of us inspiration + VISION for what is possible!!! 💗

"You are mine; you are loved; and I'm proud of you." Wow. .. Those are things I strives for so hard to hear from my dad. .. He actually bragged a lot about the "you are mine" part. Not in those words, but we are a large family, and Dad was proud of having 8 kids, and our parents goal was to raise us to be PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS. .. It did seem merit-based, and Dad was not able to say the words "I love you." .. My dad started going to a different church a few years back, and the pastor taught on love languages and also about what children need from their parents. .. He grew up without knowing that he was loved or that his parents were proud of him. There was a lot of dysfunction, with a family heritage of alcoholic personality. .. It felt so nice for me to finally hear my dad say, "Even though you are not an accountant like your sister or (yada yada) or live in a nice house, you provide a valuable service to society." (I do home health.) .. Yes, it's still performance-based. But he's still alive... and GOD loves me no matter WHAT! .. Thank you for this message, because I need to always make sure I TELL my kids that I love them and I'm proud of them. And the "you are mine" is something I tell my husband. 😄 (just recently)

As a mom to five kiddos, I love how much you interact with your kids and allow them to share their thoughts, even if they might be rooted more in feelings at this point in time. As believers, we can only continue to point our children to Jesus and the truth of Scripture and trust the Holy Spirit's work in their lives. Thank you for God-honoring content.

I'm Greek and my mother has never been kind or warm towards me in a loving mother kind of way. I have three children with special needs and I can tell two of my children more easily that I love them and that I'm proud of them. My second is harder because of the damage my mum did but i have managed to tell her that I do love her. I never grew up in a family like that and i kind of envy anyone who did.

This episode really touched me. I’m in awe of how you guys treat each other with respect, understanding, and kindness. Your kids are clearly loved, they are blessed to have you two as their parents! This is a very important topic today. I believe that most Christians don’t know their identity in Christ and devil is attacking our identity from every angle, that’s why there’s so much confusion and identity crisis. We as parents need to love our kids everyday, tell them that we love them, tell them that they are ours and that we’re proud of them. Our love should be unconditional, just like our Father’s love is for us. Thank you for uploading this profound conversation! ❤ God bless you all!

This is beautiful, hearing the perspective of children as well. With all the chaos present in the world and the way people abuse social media, putting all kinds of things out there... It's scary as a mom... The kind of world your child is coming into. I am an expecting mother, who also has another 3-year old... And this is a peace of hope... Hope you can raise kids in Christ and be hopeful of a good future

What a wonderfully Godly family. Your kids are such an inspiration. They are far more spiritually mature and honest than most Christian adults. They are truly great examples of children who are loved, proud of, and belonged to. You as parents have done a beautiful job of raising them up to be like Christ. You showed great respect by letting them say what they felt like saying and you patiently listened. it showed how proud you are of them and how much they are loved and cherished. Thank you for being an example of Christ's love. May all Christian families live out these truths, through Jesus Christ.

So true. Many children need to hear their parents saying those 3 phrases ("You are mine", "You are loved", "I am proud of you") to them more often. I hope more parents do this for their children so that they can grow up to be confident individuals who feel well loved. Till today I am thankful that I grew up in a Christian home and that my mum often say those phrases to us. She still praises us so often in front of others (my sisters and I are in our late 20's to early 30's) and we hug each other very often. My dad is not as good in expressing his feelings but we know he loves us through his actions. 😊

Yes, please do a template for your letter! That’s a great way to speak into their lives over and over again every time they read it. I wrote a letter to my 17-year-old this year on her birthday in my devotional journal. She lives across the states with her Bio mom, and when she came home for a visit I wrote another 3 pages for her to take on the plane and read on her way back home. Now I think every year I’m going to write her a letter on her Birthday! Thank you all for this video, it was really inspiring! And so cool to hear the teenage perspective. Thank you two too!

I watched a gentleman say it wasn’t that Jesus thought God abandoned him, but that Jesus knew he was going to spend three days away from Him. He never complained about physical pain or showed any type of anxiety about the physical but that it was solely focused on not getting to be with our father for those three days. When I watched it,it made perfect sense.

Even when you discipline you still talk to your kids about it before and after. So that they still sense your love, just how God does for us. 🥰💜 I like to ask my 5yr old.... Are you going to Listen and Obey OR Listen and be disobedient? She responds. But if I need to discipline with "sad spoon" not my hand.... I don't do it as a reaction and grab anything around. I let her know what she did, and that her choice has consequences and then tell her what she getting. Like 3 pops or whatever. And then we hug and talk more about the next choices she should make, while I remind her how much I love her. 💜

I wish I could talk about my faith with such easiness as you guys. My son is almost two and I do start to wonder what I can do to show him God and learn to love him. I am catholic and my husband is protestant. We do respect our legacy fully, but he is not pro actively engaged in his faith, so I feel like the responsibility is more on me. I pray that I do this right, and by doing it right I could maybe strengthen faith of my husband.

I absolutely love this teaching/ Letters of Affirmation/ Speaking into and over our children...understanding the power of that words/ letters co.ing from a Father, How would you navigate or speak into the many many children unfortunately having to deal with absent Fathere, we thank God for the mothers & grandmother's who takes up this role, but we also know that there is a difference when it comes from a father then when it comes from a mother, not that it stops us( mothers & grandmothers) from saying/ speaking it to them

Thanks for this video. It's really opened up a whole new perspective on child raising which is hard to implement especially if you grew up in a home where you did not receive affirmation. May God help us be better parents for His name's sake. God bless you. And you have great kids that think and talk maturely.❤

To see you interact and discuss with your kids is precious. So much so I am compelled to watch it with our oldest two children to spark discussion with them but also as a model and inspiration for us as a family, in so many ways e.g how you speak to one another, how you take following Jesus and the Bible so seriously and yet your children are still young. It makes me wonder whether you could film a ‘family resource’ and have you and your kids lead us through ‘something’ - faith questions; Bible study - and us follow along as a family. Just a thought from a pastors family in the U.K. Thank you so much!

I would love it if you included the scripture reference of God the Father giving these 3 affirmations to Jesus the Son. You listed John 12 only. I always enjoy going to the scriptures after listening to a podcast/video so I can read them myself and study on it.

This video was so beautiful! I am not a parent yet, so I felt like this healed something of the child in me. I would love to watch a whole video on the third point of being proud, because it’s so easy to fall into an achievement mindset where we don’t feel worthy unless we are productive or in some way successful

Absolutely amazing!! Thank you so much. I feel so supported through your journey and willingness to share! Answered prayer. I want the Lord to prepare me for motherhood. It's definitely an impression I've had since a teenager, to build up a family, not get divorced and raise confident kids ready to impact the world with their love for God and others. I know this is family focused, but my request would be more content on the preparation for the family/marriage. I am currently dating and am trying to understand the most effective conversations to have before we consider marriage. Bible verses, discipline, educational systems, how to handle mis-takes, etc.. the Lord has blessed me with a God-fearing partner so far...what are the tips things dating couples, newly weds and beginner parents be praying about and discussing?

In my opinion I do believe it’s important to utter the words “I love you” but I’m from a country where it’s not common to utter such words especially parents to children, but in my experience my parents never uttered those words but never have I even for one second in my life doubted their love for me, they don’t say it but they show it to us and it’s so obvious, it is how personally involved they are in our lives. They take each of our issues so personal as though it was them, and they constantly tell us whatever you’re going through we going through it as well and we’ve actually seen this. I think beyond saying the words, if parents genuinely love their children the God way, it will be communicated in all their actions towards the children even through discipline.

Thank you for the video, very eye opening. And you can tell that your children are insightful and able to express them self well which is an amazing achievement all on it’s on. One think I do think may be incorrect, is to say that Jesus had a moment of doubt, because that would be sin. And we all know Jesus was without sin….i believe the Father really had forsaken him in that moment…..Derek Prince explained it as, Jesus cried out ‘why have you forsaken me” because God really had forsaken him in that moment. Because God put all our sins on Him on the cross on that moment, that as he died he is dying as a sinner, and God had to turn from him as one who is a sinner, because the sins of us all where now on Him. Not that Jesus was doubting or tempted to doubt but he really was forsaken in that moment. Derek prince goes on to say that He believe ultimately Jesus died from a broken heart on that cross, because many had forsaken him but it was okay because the Father was with him, but when the Father had to turn his back on Him because of the Sin that was now out on Him, He felt it, and it was too much for him to bare, and He gave up the ghost, he didn’t fight to live. He quotes the scripture referring Pilate saying that he was surprised that Jesus was dead already…because normally people being crucified wouldn’t have died that quickly…… It just goes to show how much Jesus really went through for us. Even rejection……. Thank you for blessing us with this video, I will definitely apply some of what you have said and continue for grace to raise Godly children. God bless you

YES!!! PLEASE create a template! My husband is still early in his firm walk with the Lord, and pretty busy with his work. It would mean so much to not just us, but our children, and even their next generations to come(not to be dramatic🤣), but we’re first gen, raising our children alongside the Lord!
