Atindriya is a Fantasy- Super-hero - Thriller short film, Directed and Written by Mr. RajMohan MR, and Produced by Mr.Vinod Kumar Kalyampudi, Managing Director of Arena Animation, Visakhapatnam.
The story tries to unfold the mysteries of our present world and its connection with super materials, some objects which possess super powers beyond time. The story starts when a SPG officer reaches Andhra University searching for a Xeno Archaeological research scholar Miss: Anjali, who wrote a letter to Prime minister, stating that his life is in danger.
Development of Atindriya began on Jun 2022 as a project for students to practice on Editing and VFX practice under production based scenarios.
Most of the actors and crew worked for the short film are either Arena students or Faculty themselves.
BGM and sound mastering is done by Mr. Jibi Varghese, from JIBZ music lab, UK.
Atindriya is a zero budget short film. All the acting, editing, VFX and music works are done by people who pursuit their passion.
The film made an extensive use of VFX techniques and took a five months post production time to complete. The Editing process and VFX compositing was done by a team comprising the senior VFX students of the institute, supervised by VFX Faculty, Mr. Biswajit Dolai.
The major locations for the film were Simhachalam hill area, Yarada beach, Madhavadhara temple premises, Meghadrighatta water reservoir area , Arena animation etc.
#Atindriya premiered on Arena animation, Visakhapatnam institute exclusively for Arena Animation students and faculty on 25 Nov 2022. A detailed case study on filming, a discussion on the obstacles faced and how those been met in production and post production, and also a presentation on behind the scenes, Before and After VFX show reel also conducted with the premier.
The sequel: “Atindriya, Duty meets Destiny” will start filming on 2023.
