ATL: Hail & The Moonshot

This is the first episode in which you will bear witness to me catching hail at my field. In all the years I've been doing this, I've never been hailed upon at ATL. I have been hailed on by golf ball sizers at DTW (which exists in one of my videos from 2016). Those hurt like a son of a whore. But I finally popped my hail cherry at Hartsfield you guys. In an exciting twist of fate, one of those super moons appeared before me while sitting on the skymeadow the next day. Oh boises, it sure was super. But enough about non-airplanes. I also gotch yall some airplanes too in this here episode. Just relax yerselves, pull up a chair, sit in it appropriately & view. Thx!

Matt, all the A330 NEOs are based in Seattle, not some 2nd rate hub like Atlanta. Haha. Right now we are getting all the DL heavies in Seattle- 332/333/763/764 and NEO. I just wish we had UA also and the turks and their cargo. Speedbird alternates between Dreamliner -9 and -10. At least we still get Qatar, because I work for a OneWorld airline now. Nice job filming the hail, that was interesting.

That last Turkish came from Istanbul, not Constantinople. At least it was Turkish delight on a moonlit night, though.

I listened to VasAviation and the ATC that day during the storm when they went to zero and evacuated the tower... it was insane. I was hoping you would have caught the storm!

looked it up tui stands for this but your 787s are TUI uk but same abbreviation Touristik Union International

Matt!! My bf and I are in Atl and we love to plane watch too! We usually go to the international terminal! We would enjoy hanging out with you next time you go!! Touristic Union International a group of small airlines in this group. Formally Thompson. British group. FYI Tui in Polynesian means Alii or royalty.

The sharkskin is the black band around the cockpit it looks stunning and is actually more effeciant so it's super cool. It's grooves in the aircraft skin to create better airlow
