ATL West Parking & SkyTrain - Atlanta Airport 2023

This video shows parking at the ATL West Parking lot at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and riding the SkyTrain to the airport and then going into the South Terminal to check in at the Delta check-in areas. Filmed May 2023.

great video. thank you atl airpor for building a great parking lot. for many years i been using park&fly, but after using atl west, this is the only lot i use now. the license plate scan is very convenient. i drive through park, jump on a sky train and im in the airport. no more waiting for shuttle bus

Tip about arriving at the domestic terminal: If you’re not checking any baggage, it makes no difference whether you enter at the North Terminal or South Terminal. Despite what the signs imply, North and South are just separate entrances to the same building. The only benefit of entering on the “correct” side for your airline is proximity to their service counters and baggage claim. The main security checkpoint is in the center of the terminal, exactly the same distance from the north and south entrances.

The only time it would make a major difference in this case would be if you had TSA precheck. In that case you’d want to enter on the south side which is the only side with precheck.

I will be coming in pretty late (about 12:30 AM), is the parking deck pretty secure? And is the 4 th floor if available the best to park? Thanks for your always very informative videos.

I would say it’s pretty secure just because of its location there is not a lot of foot traffic in the area. In order to access the area, you either have to ride on the SkyTrain from the airport or drive into the parking deck and have your license plate captured on camera. As far as the most convenient level to park on, I would say the 4th is best simply because it’s the level where you access the SkyTrain. Also, thanks for the view and comment!

It takes right at 10 minutes from parking until walking into the terminal

Thank you for the info,but I have questions ,is all the skytrain stop at levels 4,my terminal is delta airlines, so how do I know which train to take me there, thank you if you share the information

All trains will take you to the same place and then you just follow the signs to delta airlines.

@@johnliu8953 correct. The skytrain just has one stop at the terminal and then depending on which airline you just follow the signs to walk to the check in counter for that airline.
