While in Atlanta, we visited Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves for a tour around the stadium.

Cobb County paid for and owns Truist Park and the Braves have a 20 year lease on it. But the Braves developed and own The Battery and all of the property around the stadium.

I really like the touch past dead center field wall where they essentially simulate a Georgia ecosystem.

Walked around this area countless times. Going to the game Sunday afternoon against the Pirates.

@@ViewFromTheCheapSeats its very beautiful and I also love that the battery is open all the time not just during the baseball season. Although I still miss Turner Field, this stadium is in a much better area

@@asiagraves1282 at Truist Park basically anywhere. I always sit behind home plate. Got the best view from there. I sat up there yesterday and it was great.

If I recall correctly, Smoltz was a part of the Detroit Tiger organization briefly before heading to Atlanta. He played in the double A franchise before being traded for Doyle Alexander....A BIG mistake by the Tigers.

The woman who runs this tour is a real 'motor-mouth' -- a real 'capote.' It's like.......if she were the star of some real crummy horror movie......I could believe it.......ya know what I mean?

@@thunderzrl4931 I think the VIP experience is meeting some of the players and some signed items. I could be wrong. But if that’s the case that’s not bad at all.

@@thunderzrl4931 so I just bought the vip experience tour.. is it worth it? I go in like 3 weeks and when did they send over the VIP info over?. I was told they do it a couple days out before the tour

Why build a stadium with no consideration for public transportation? I took a train to a bus to another bus that ran every 30 minutes. I wanted to go to the next day's game but decided against it. If they don't expand MARTA to the stadium or another one seat option from downtown, I won't attend another event there.

Cobb county has been denying a Marta expansion for decades … it’s never happening. Them white folks don’t want easy access to that area. I know it’s playing the race card but if you go research the history it’s why MARTA has yet to expand … Marta will never run thru Cobb county.
