For sure. Donald seems to get all the credit, and granted he deserves a ton of credit, but he gets his results by collaborating with some very talented people like Hiro, Ludwig Göransson and others. The art of collaborating is an art in itself.

Actually a lot of the episodes are written by his brother. Having the privilege of money and opportunity makes it 'easy' to create other opportunities and collab. And people..the masses always need ONE face/person to adore or idolize..since people dont really tend to like 'complexity'.

Possibly one of the finest episodes in television history. Just exquisitely paced, perfectly heightened suspense throughout until the conclusion and a striking performance by Donald Glover and supported by Lakeith Stanfield. Masterpiece 11/10.

"we got the real Teddy Perkins." the pause made me laugh after imagining the cast hear that and go "oh really. (Looks to the other cast members) Who's Teddy Perkins?"

He's okay. The writing is what makes the show excellence. And the subject matter is never explored. It gets into the root of the black experience. Hiro couldn't tap that deep without the creative collaboration. I will admit his directing of this episode was superb, but the other episodes of Atlanta are meat and potatoes on content not direction.

For me it was summer, I had the apartment dark and cold. I had to get out after for a car ride and get some sun light and processes what I had just watched. I was kind of in a shock like state, and I actually love horror movies but this episode was something else.
