UBOAT is a new Submarine Simulator that just dived into early access. It is a survival sandbox with crew management mechanics while its primary theme is life of German sailors. The boat is their home, but it can become their grave at any time.
In UBOAT you control the crew in order to control the boat. You look after their physical and mental health, because if the sailors are hungry, tired and their spirit is low, there’s no chance of winning even a skirmish.

Just a tip for food- if you take aboard as much as you can hold and then skip the time to load it on your ship (And maybe load torps and other ammo and things too to make more time pass during the autoskip) more food comes into the port available for purchase. Repeat it a few times and you're basically always good even for long patrols. Just makes your shore time a bit longer between patrols, but it means your crew stays well fed!

“The Wolf is so hungry Greyhound” Nice video, I wish there was an option to prep a crash dive like if you’re just up for a smoke and a battery charge in enemy territory you could keep the negative flooded so you sit lower and could pop under quicker.

Loving the series. Just a heads up, the "au" in "Klaus" makes an -ow- sound, rather than an -aw- sound. So it would be Kl-ow-s, not claws

I have yet to play this game, i have downloaded it but I have also started a new patrol in LSH3 and i have jut had the most successful patrol ever were all of my torpedoes hit their mark, yes you read right no duds no missis , i sunk 8 ships, 6 big cargo & 2 tankers, unbelievable, never had such a successful patrol, however i have yet to get home, but u see no problems as i only had to travel to AF17, never been so close

Never shoot torpedos at a NA-1, use the anti-aircraft gun (HE rounds). You'll sink it in no time.

Wolfpack the first torpedo was at the right depth and at the draft was correct but the ship almost looked like it was listing/turning. Maybe that's the reason the torp ran under?

you should always send in helpers for your engineer who is on the engines.. On diesels they will use less & electic engines saves batterie power

The devs said that they have finished the "paper map" and that there are working in fixing bugs, tutorial missions, new features... Do you think that, if they add the paper map, more German dialogue per example, adding more background noise, when the crew spots something they will say "merchant sited, bearing 120, moving fast, moving away", more realistic crash dive background noises (you know what I'm talking about), A CAMPAIGN, and a more realistic ui (the current one is kinda arcady) do you think that this game has the potential to become the next SHIII?

It really depends - as of now the game is still in early access and you can clearly see that - altho it has some really climatic and interesting missions and secondary objectives, there are still a lot of bugs and not all too much content in the game. Regardless, recently I came back to the game after a break and played around 30 hours in 5 days - it is just highly engaging. Overall, I would highly recommend the game even as of now(I thankfully did not get too many gamebreaking bugs, but had to restart my game a few times quite often), and the game will eventually (hopefully) get better. You need to be careful what you wish for tho - if you are looking for another Silent Hunter, thats not really it - as you have probably seen from the videos, you focus much more on managing your crew and resources rather than commanding your U-Boot like in SH.

@@neelskempable I played a lot of SH 3 and a bit of SH 5 over the years. Decided to pick up UBoat because I could not get SH3 mods to work on my current PC, not really knowing what I was getting into, just to play something U-boot related - but I like the game very much and only want it to prosper. The differences between both games are significant and I was having a bit of trouble adapting into UBoat but for me it was definitely worth it.

Yeah we should be able to machine gun the life boats since both sides would do that sometimes since submarines were unable to take prisoners.

Na1 is bugged. It's the only ship torpedoes go right beneath no matter what I set. IIRC the torpedo depth is not yet implemented. Ah yes, I recall... I just use skim surface with depth and it hits. Game is beautiful but it's very arcadish and quite incomplete. Nothing like SH3. It is very promising but still very far from complete.

Also if you check the identification book it says that NA-1 has displacement of over 12k GRT - but if you recognize it, it will show it's displacement of over 2k GRT. I was wondering how this rather small ship can be this heavy.

what are the implications of setting the torpedo depth to always 1meter?

Because the game is bugged. The ship drafts don't match the recognition book and they are not even close to accurate. I just set it to 1m to ensure a hit.

Wolfpack seems cool in graphics and all, but it is too multiplayer oriented, which is quite meh. There is no progression or campaign abailable.

I really wish you would show more of the action. As a viewer it kinda sucks having all this tension build up for a torpedo impact only for you to show it in map view or worst yet, not show it at all. This could be a great series if you would just show more impacts and sinkings.

I liked SH quite a bit, but is it just me and this seems not challenging at all? No big evasive maneuvers, barely any defense ever, barely any planes, waterbombs, destroyers, mines etc. And you dont even do any calculations. And this eagle eye is nice and all but I always played SH from my ship and used binoculars etc. That made it quite a bit more challenging. Something I missed in SH was that they never implemented tides, which play a big role at maneuvering sometimes. As a sailor myself thats bit of the fun; sitting over the charts, calculating which course I need to take to counter tides and currents etc. It also would be sweet if you had to calculate diesel and your own position without it showing on the map. I mean, with enemies this easy its kind of necessary......

did you know if the ships are gray neutral ships. ships that are red are enemy ships and you just shot a gray ships so you just committed war crime well multiple war crimes.
