I mean, I feel if people played Ark they should have expected the game to be like this with how similar it looks in the trailer. Even some Ark trailers are similar and I always took Atlas’ as showing a bunch of players doing things, not NPCs

I played this game for 3.5 months straight in season 13, its 800 hours. Cobra Strike server. It felt literally like second job for our small tribe. We may not be the best for sure, but we did fight back. Its insanely hard to defend against big tribes and coalitions. Especially its hard when everyone around already have their base, know how to properly breed animals and already have them maxed out, have somewhat powerful fleet with legendary parts on it and a rifles which can easily oneshot your 300hp. We changed 2 islands during our playtime. We equally enjoyed both sweet victories and good fights in which we were defeated. Thats such a pity game is abandoned by devs completely, official server is corrupted with abusers, duping items, server crashes. The abusers don't care about gold, don't care about resources to repair base/rebuild new ships. Dont care about farms, mines being placed on different islands, dont care about transporting cargo to main island. If they are losing fight they simply crush the server untill attack is stopped (every crush of server rewinds time back). Also there are some questons about ships balance, for some reason cargo ship with cargo sails can very easily catchup or run away from faster (on paper) ships. We left playing undefeated, with our base standing. Left when amount of game breaking absurd was too high. Even content makers, who abused as well, left playing the game they actually taked part to destroy. And I'm proud mine tribe was not abusing. We played in hard mode for sure 😅 Despite all game breaking bugs mentioned above - we really enjoyed every possible activity in this game, mechanics this game provides are insane. Grapple hooking around, building own ship piece-by-piece, building base, thinking about base and harbor defence, fighting legendary creatures, breeding and growing your animals with better stats, cooking balanced food, diving for sunken treasures, searching for fountain of yough, exploring map so you can recognize to what island your treasure map belongs. Grapics are also quite good for highly immersive gameplay, sure not cyberpunk, alan wake, etc. level but just compare the world size and take in mine we are talking about MMO. Also i need to remark that I played on integrated ryzen graphics (until I upgraded) without any major lags and I taked part in all fights without any excuse like "I cant fight, go you, coz I'm lagging", and even in low graphics I enjoyed how game looked like. So there is indeed some optimization in game to play comfortably. I wish someday this game would be fixed, relaunced, updated. I wish I can spend 800, 2000, 3000 hours in such a game again. Also, I dont regret any penny spend on this game even considering its bad sides, and surely I will never say a word aboud refund. Just think about that game price is a +- single movie ticket worth, but in cinema you spend 2-3 hours and in game you can easily spend 800 like I did and feel being pirate yourself instead of watching a movie character. (with such amount of mechanics this game has - you definately can).

I still play this game quite a bit on Official (5,600 hours) and a new server that a bunch of the bigger groups in the game setup when the devs abandoned the official servers. We are on Season 1 of this new server that is actually doing very well and is setup to match official in earlier seasons

I can't force the devs of this game to put me on the team to try to do something, I need to do my game project with the same atlas gameplay.

gaming evolved server is the best one i have played, its what the game should have been, its pve with a few pvp grids in the middle of the map, its also the full map size we had at the start, has all the best mods like klinger ships ect,more building types...and a great community. and the farming rates are decent too.

They could've taken every mechanic in this game, simply implemented it into ASE, and everyone would've won. But, no ...

a lot of the things in the trailer you can do but it takes either a mega tribe group or hundreds of hours of grinding to do

Its a shame this game got done as dirty as it did. Quite literally a dream game on paper but was executed so poorly. I still play it when the DSRP community hosts a new season but thats only like a 1 to 2 month period out of every year sadly

You could hit the mermaid and for sure you could buy drakes with gold and ride them it was for a limited time after you got them it wasn't permanent you could also do almost all the mythical creatures almost all of what was in the trailer was in the earlier game and man I miss the sailing and grinding on the game

Try The "Rip tide" server way better with custom mods :)

You could totally tame drakes, could swim to mermaids and punch them in the face, or even kiss them for a buff. Although, I have to agree.. the trailer made it look far better than it actually was.

Still the best pirate game on the market, but completely unplayable these days.

i played a considerable number of hours on ARK official servers before this game was launched; the second i heard Wild Card was going to make an MMO, i knew it was going to be a giant fail, i never even looked into this game and just laughed when i heard all the complaints

Man im commenting before watching the video through but I don't remember it the same as all all my friends really enjoyed raids and forming alliances and such and that was part of what was great with it was retaliation raids 😂😂

the hype for this game, when it first hit the game streamers was out of this world. actually looked fun, then the Chinese players took over. dropped off a cliff after that.

Bruh how can you have that many hours in atlas and not have seen any of that. Its all in the game. I mean its poorly implemented, but it is there, Including the outfits at the cosmetics vendor. Also even on official a galleon is about 4 hours work assuming its not your first ship. That said still a decent vid

i think the trailer was meant to be people in the game after you have built your empire not npc's you were supposed to run into. but i can see how many would believe the game was supposed to look like that all the time. also official pve is running

I need help, I've been playing this game on Xbox Series S for a while but for some time now it no longer lets me enter the worlds, in Blackwood it crashes every time I open the map and in Ocenan it doesn't enter at all, does anyone know what I can do? Or what is the support page for this game because I really like it and it's a shame that I can't play...

Unfortunately, the game is close to my heart.

Darkside RP is LIKE the OG trailer though and it the only thing keeping the game alive. the amount of stuff from the DSRP mod stolen and put in to game is not even funny. the DSRP mods make the game they originally wanted with quests and all. also you can buy a token at the free port to use a drake as a siege mount for a few hours
