I have a theory on the show’s theme: Home. -Atlas wanted to leave her homeworld for some reason, and when she did, she brought Atmosphere along with her, and now she wants to get the both of them back home. -When presented the choice to expand outwards to another universe, Quasar refuses, choosing to keep his home planet alive, even at the cost of another whole universe, and with the fact that Quasaria is taking more and more energy just to stay together. It could be due to his late family, and his refusal to let them go. -In the backstory, humans left Earth after it became uninhabitable, most likely due to their greed and duplicity. -Perhaps there’s a deeper reason than just adventurous spirit to why Atlas wants to explore the universe. Maybe her family wasn’t the best. -For an ending, I feel like Atlas and Atmosphere will learn of Quasar’s tragic past (dude’s centuries old) and use it to get him to let go, use his powers to allow his people to explore the greater universe, and let go of the past and their old world that’s held together by duct tape and a bitter old man stuck in the past.
