Ok so. I’ve never interacted with Magnus Archives in my life, but I am a huge Marianas Trench fan, and I am a sucker for creative animatics/animations, so this was a very pleasant experience. The story was easy to follow and I think I understood the gist of the story, so I can easily tell you that you did an amazing job! I love it and I hope to see more where that came from! :)

I especially love how each character and moment is instantly recognisable from context clues even without relying on the few canonical details (like the various scars or items), as well as the subtle but huge progression of Jon's appearance through time. And it's so dynamic without feeling rushed either! Really great work.

And i LOVE the implication that elias had a form of "love" for her because 20 years with his archivist... of course there was a bond. And of course michael kept checking in every now and then, never confronting her directly because all 14 are terrified of her, but... observing. A remnant of the eye. Also i do not thank you for 1:16 because I had........ somehow...... never imagined the worm holes as bleeding, AND OF COURSE THEY ARE, but you made them wonderfully horrifying. - And the frame with Jon in front of the tunnels and the descending motion with the pipes makes them so ominous and threatening, I love love love how you are bringing all those things to life in a beautifully efficient style. - And ELIAS' FACE AT 1:45 you!!! have perfectly captured the bastard I can't - And "didn't realize who's gone" WITH THE FRAME OF SASHA'S DESK how dare you how darrrrrrre - AND THE PARALLEL WITH JON AND MARTIN BURNING PAGES PLEASE - And the unknowing with no lyrics. I also love the way you animated the distortions' door. it super cool concept seeing it crack into reality.

this is one of the best pieces of fan work i've seen for tma, and there's a *lot* of good content in this fandom so... holy shit it's amazing. i'm gonna gush about it for a while here, so this is going to be a very long comment- "a remnant trace, a glimpse of you" as tim and sasha vanish is such a good choice. also it punches me in the gut every time (which i mean in the most positive way possible) the changing doors are awesome the transition from jon to gertrude is so smooth "didn't realize who's gone" as gerry appears and disappears... hell yeah "you were haunted too" and the image of jonah appearing over elias for a moment... genius. "the killing kind" as he aims the gun at her? hello? "can't get out from under it" as the eye opens above him... mmm good shit your michael looks very cool and i love what you did with the reflection prentiss' expression on "it was me all along" is wonderful. sinister little smile,,, amazing hate your worms /pos "never more to leave here, never more to leave here" as the not-them attacks sasha? ughh love it "go down below, where children go" as he goes into the tunnels... the shape of the person on the walls... amazing how is every piece in this animatic with the "i know, i know, i know, i know" line so good elias' expression change just before he commits brutal pipe murder is excellent "didn't realize who's gone" with sasha's nameplate... ow. /pos have i mentioned how punchable your elias is (just as an elias should be) i can't articulate what exactly i love about the shot of daisy and basira standing back-to-back but it's Very Good once again, the scene with that line is AMAZING 2:14 may be my favorite frame in the whole animatic. their faces? the eye above them? the lines it's over? just everything? mx. atlasofgalaxies please give me some of your talent- the effect on the burning page is very pretty this "never more to leave here, never more to leave here" is another extremely painful and amazing moment because technically only basira made it out of there alive the eyes appearing with the crescendoing beats? hell the fuck yeah. your nikola is terrifying and i love her is that... an ace ring 👀 martin disappearing into the lonely fog... ahh i love and hate it by contrast, oliver appearing *out* of the end fog? cool as FUCK martin... my son... someone give him hugs and therapy please "two for the pain" as melanie wakes up... yes. your peter lukas is also wonderfully punchable grr elias' little hand motion... i hate him and i love how your art can invoke that much emotion in me once again, perfect timing with the lyrics. basira's face when she sees jon and daisy emerging... wonderful. your art is so expressive. the dings with jon entering the lonely are perfect and amazing *chanting* soft jmart soft jmart soft jmart (i love them very much) and there's the crown. knew it was coming, didn't hurt any less. fuck you, jonah magnus. i love the idea of jon cutting his hair before they go and idk quite why the entire sequence from 5:23 to 5:50 is wonderful ooh spooky art for spooky music both your spider!annabelle and normal annabelle designs are great "why don't we just savor it" this image brings me great joy the 4 beats with the jonah confrontation is AMAZING the eyes coming from jon's body as he does are genius tbh i can't put into words why but the final shot of the tape recorder hits me right in the feels anyways, beautiful animatic with such good timing and just amazingness all around. it's like the whole show, condensed into an AMV. thank you for this, it's wonderful.

So I just finished TMA 2hrs ago. I have a lot to say about it, but first, this perfectly visualizes what I saw listening to TMA. I'm a little speechless to be honest, I love this so much. I'm going to watch it again. Thanks for this. Seriously. Also yo what a ride, am i right? I may be 4 years late but I binged it in 2 months so that counts for something. Amazing podcast.

Wow wow ok I was completely blown away by this. The way way you matched not only the lyrics but also the different ‘movements’ within the song to the flow of TMA’s story? You must be some sort of genius because you made it fit so well. Like Sasha with “didn’t realize who’s gone”, “can’t get out from under it” with Jon and then the institute staff, Daisy with “if madness overtakes us.” Those are just some examples because there are just so many that are just… so satisfying thematically. Also just so many smart story boarding choices, like the door motif near the beginning and tbh all the “I know I know” sequences. The escalation of intensity with every “I don’t love the bottle but the bottle loves me”. And the way the swell of the music fit with the most powerful moments,,,, the writhing of the worms, Jon grabbing Daisy’s hand, the STAB!!! Seriously, this got my heart beating from pure emotion. Amazing job.

This animatic came out when I was somewhere in the middle of season 3 and I´ve been watching it bit by bit every time I finished a couple of episodes. Today I finished the last episode and could finally watch this until the end. It has been a great companion and visualisation along the whole way and you´ve done an amazing job with it.

ok this animatic is sooooo insanely good im actually losing it!!!! like mtrench is already one of my favorite bands but the way the song and the art is married together is absolutely masterful, both lyrically and musically. im especially thinking of the shot of jon and martin waking up together in the safehouse and how well it goes with the beautiful clear quality of josh's delivery on "hey, can you hear me." also "can't get out from under it" being frequently paired with the super menacing shots of the eye over them. AND!!!!
