This marketing move of course, is surprising absolutely nobody. Even without this being data mined a while ago, we all know Atlus has a trend and habit of releasing DLC for their games; and re-releasing"definitive editions" a year or so after the initial launch. It's been a pattern like this for over a decade (or more now, if you count all the prior golden or FES editions)

@tzetra I would expect so, but I don't think anyone, outside SEGA, is saying that ATLUS only has so much time to work on and provide content for Reload. Pretty sure the fan base is willing to demonstrate support for the product if they put out a press release saying "We hear you. After we wrap production and distribution of Episode Aigis, we'll begin development on providing the female protagonist from Portable to the framework of Reload."

People underestimate how much unique content Minako has in Portable. It's not just the new social links, her dynamic with the girls of SEES and thus their social links are different, she gets unique events, the Inaba field trip, it's a very extensive thing to do on top of all the new content Reload got. I don't think it would be a stretch to say it would require adding a whole 60 to 70% of content to the game.

@@jishan6992 Basically, the epilogue of the game. If you played the original Persona 3 FES, the original game is called "The Journey" and the epilogue is called "The Answer" which introduced a new character

*Spoilers ahead:* I mean, it's highly likely, that the story for The Answer will obviously stay the same as in the original but I kinda hope that we may get a little special cutscene or some kind of aknowledgement if the MC had a special relationship with one of the party members. Some kind of final goodbye or promise between them. But considering we play as Aigis and it would kinda exclude players who chose characters like Chihiro it's probably not gonna happen

They could! The OG answer didn’t add that extra stuff cuz it was a separate release from the OG Game in Japan. Now that it’s DLC and could be taking info directly from the OG title they could do things like mention the MC’s name, etc.

While it might be copium from my part i'm expecting they will since the remake has _tons_ of dialogue adressing optional actions that barely any people will see (i.e the soloing tartarus bosses dialogue) Don't think they'll add dialogue regarding the Chihiro or Yuko romances, though, only the SEES romance options

The closest I can maybe see for Chihiro/Yuko romances are some kind of small epilogue scenes contained to themselves contemplating their loss (granted they get to know about the MC's passing), leading into a bittersweet scene. Especially with Chihiro you could tie into her P4 appearance by having her make the decision to be way more confident for him moving on

A season pass for a single player game is the craziest thing out of 2024. They even said all of this was finished before the game was about to launch, they knew. You could’ve launched the season stuff for free or put it in the game or hell just have remade FES or Portable and the world would keep spinning. But they chose false today. The amount of players defending this, shows gamers these days have 2 games they play for 20 years and nothing else. A sad day truly, but it’s Atlus doing what they do best: scam artists. They know this despite making phenomenal games, truly frustrating

I think part of it was that people were expecting them to release it as its own version. while not the best case scenario (have the answer included at release and not as a DLC) its still a lot better than that alternative; which as much as I love ATLUS I can't say I'd be suprised if they had done that.
