Hi, my name is April! If you’re someone who loves reading, then this is DEFINITELY the place for you! My videos include book recommendations, book hauls, reading wrap ups, reading reviews and reading vlogs. I mostly read thriller books, contemporary fiction, literary fiction, horror books, historical fiction and nonfiction too. I hope that by watching my Booktube videos, you will find your next five star read (or maybe even a new favourite book of all time!!).

I've been wanting to read more WW1 books this year. The Maisie Dobbs series seems like a fun way to start!!

I loved "Holly" by Stephen King. I also just finished "The Nature of Fragile Things" which was good, not great, but was an unusal twist regarding historical fiction. Next going to read " A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" because it was recommended by my son, as well as finish "White Teeth"

I really love Susan Meissner’s books. Love that she interweaves history but also personal issues the characters are going through! And a little bit of mystery too!

I loved this video so much! Near the Bone is one of my favorite books, and Naomi Novik's books are also so awesome! 🥳

So many good ones. I’ve had The Plot and Near The Bone on my tbr for 3 years. Totally forgot about them. January was great for me too. The Hurricane Blonde by Halley Sutton and Those Who Wish Me Dead by Michael Koryta were the stand outs!

Thank you for the recommendations. I have The Writer’s Retreat but I haven’t read it yet. My favorite book last month was Matthew Perry’s memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. It wasn’t as funny as I was expecting. 🥺. I had no clue what the big terrible thing was. I had heard he had been in rehab. What star hasn’t? But I had no idea of his big terrible life long struggle. He never seemed out of control like Charlie Sheen. It was an amazing story. 💔

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. It was such a shock when he passed away! What a great loss.

My favorite books in Jan. On audio was Seven Fallen Feathers by Tanya Talaga - Northern Ontario Indigenous. It was heart retching but quite eye opening

I'm on my way to that age and I appreciated it so much!! Such a feminist take on it. Basically a screw society and the patriarchy making any woman of any age feeling like they're not enough! Hee hee!
