Well what do you know... revisiting a previously problematic flying location with a new plane reveals no issues now, so I was able to fly over the mountain without a problem and got some pretty nice views! Either the Razor Crest is lucky, and whatever was messing up the signal last time is not turned off, or all of a sudden the receiver on the ground stopped caring for the interference! Either way, it was a nice flight and I will definitely be back there soon!

Your video inspired me to get my Razor Crest. I've converted the motors to 2627 1000KV (2212 1000KV) motors and running bi blade 7042 gemfan props. I've yet to installed the fpv system but I did install a MFD Crosswind landing gear system

Nice! It is a nice plane! I am planning to do some efficiency tests with the stock motors and props soon, and then replace the props with larger dual-blade props, a few models, and see if any give better results in flight endurance and efficiency. Should be interesting! :)

Nice mountain surfing. Some very serous alpine terrain at 3:50 and 8:24. Amazing long steep valleys with impressive views. Perhaps some ridgeline surfing in your future?

Yeah, perhaps, so long as I have view of whatever it is I am flying over from the ground. Like I said... lots of potential in that area! :)

Hey dude! I recently had one of those fancy MFD AATs that is seen at 1:03 donated to me by an LR pilot in my area, and have a few questions that the manual can't resolve. My biggest question is what the second line out (the one that doesn't go to the driver) does, any ideas? Thanks for any help! P.S. Is this tracker capable of taking MAVLink data from a telemetry radio like the Mini Crossbow can? That would make things so much more simple for me to set up.

about damn time, now just find the plane you left on top of the darn thing :D as for the antenna i would suggest using a solid 90-degree adapter, that will eliminate the radius on the antenna and also poke it down a little more away from the fuse., losses are negligible at best

Hahahaha, well not the same mountain and I've already been looking for that plane a few times, gave up on it a long time ago, suggest you do the same! :P I am thinking of mounting it vertical and on top, that way it will not get banged up by grass and stuff on landings, as these tend to stop working right after some beating.

To be honest I have no clue if they will have any notable effect. For what purpose could you possible need them there on the Dolphin?

Well then, I guess I should use that AtomRC VTx I have, after all. I mean, 20km?! It's the same as the one you have there, but came with my Dolphin (only stock I could find was the FPV version at the time). I was apprehensive about using it, so an FX2 Ult. went in its place (a great VTx, itself). I have a disturbingly ugly Airloader with a useless rear motor pod it'll live in I think. I'm curious, though, what was the issue with your VTx placement? To me, it looked clear of anything that would cause issues?

Oh nice, so you made the Airloaded twin tractor? How is it doing as such? I always wondered but never really mustered up the motivation to convert mine, besides, the pusher motor work pretty fine for me! I can't recall now what the issues were with Vtx placement...

@@ArxangelRC I guess I bought my Airloader at the right time - it was the last of BG's inventory so I got it cheap! Plus, I was super-intrigued about the wing-connector issue everyone was talking about:I have them populated for the motors, Ail, Flaps, and LED strips going through those connectors and thought the design was pretty good. A little documentation would've gone a long way for this plane _"We only used a small amount of glue to hold the connectors into the Fuse And Wing, slide knife up short length of connector to release"_ With that blurb, the connector issue, err, wouldn't be? I like the plane, a few flights in it, and will be turning it into a night LED-Loader

@@GhostRyderFPV Sounds like a nice project! Yes, the connectors are barely held in place in the fuselage! Yeah... life sort of took over and has been interfering with me doing anything for the channel... not done much of my own flying in the past few months anyway! Will try to put a video or two out soon though! Got a new PC for gaming... but as it happens it is also specced for video editing so itching to try it out, so I guess now I would HAVE TO find the time to put a few videos together! :P

Plane flew good on 6s. Super fast too 😂. I have some 2212 1000kv motors on it. I’m using the stock 2306 1400kv motors on a couple of wings. Super efficient but I feel 1000kv on 4s with 7042 Gemfan props are more than enough. 6s is overkill but if you stay off the throttle I think it could be more efficient than on 4s

3:30: Amazing! I tried to find your choice of vrx in the description - this beats my own link by several dB, and I run a big Clearview with two large triple feeds. They are no more than 40 cms from my Crossfire tx, though ...

I have not been able to find the Vtx sold separately... may have to try again. Does seem to be a well built unit, at least from the one in this plane, pretty clean signal with no visible dirty power artefacts, which is quite good!

Hmmm... well that would mean I'd have to fly the AR Wing Pro again... :P Hahahaha, might give it a try, see what happens! As for the Vtx, they claim 1.5W, so perhaps some updated model. Weird that Skyzone don't have it as their own branded product... or at least I am not finding it.

Arxangel, why dont you use the Hiyi system as its obviously the next big thing? Xd thank you for your videos, your review of the dolphin made me buy it, but i'm still new at fpv and soldering so i guess i wont be putting that baby up in the air until october

Hey, well first of all the SIYI system I would put on a larger craft, this one just doesn't warrant that system, and also there is an issue with the ground unit refusing to power up... so now I have to ship it back to China for SIYI to investigate the issue!

I love your videos. I fly quads only…. In your opinion, best VTX and VTX antenna for a quad for best video and penetration? Your opinion is greatly appreciated! I just installed the Rushtank Solo. So far, I’m not totally impressed.

To be honest the conditions that these Vtxs are subjected to on a quad and a plane are quite different. On a quad everything is packed up a lot, and much closer together, so it is more difficult to get good range comparable to a plane. I have pretty much ZERO experience with any kind of range on copters and with these types of quads in general, so it is very hard to say! The AKK pagodas I use work very well in general!

What's with the constant rocking from side to side of the nose? Is that turbulence or is one of the rudders or vertical stabilisers off slightly? That is an amazing flight and achievement

Well... the way they designed the tail to be assembled isn't perfect, so it is possible it could be a combination of some wind and a not perfectly straight glued tail...

Hey Nikola great video. I recently crashed my long range phoenix 2400 and completely smashed the fuselage. Their a great plane but getting replacements is pretty hard. I thought I'd ask you what is all round the best long range fpv plane you've ever tested flight time, price, flight characteristics, durability, replacement parts etc... Thanks for your awesome videos keep up the good work!!!

Hey, am just now getting to replying to comments. Try the Ranger 2400, fuselage material is different and I can promise you, you will have a very hard time totalling that one! :P Otherwise I have absolutely loved my XUAV Clouds and it is my longest serving plane to date!

Hi. Please give all the details of the fpv you are using. VTX - voltage, output power, antenna etc. FPV Receiver - antennas etc.

Most is in the video description. Receiver is the Boscan FR632, which is no longer in production, Vtx is powered from 12v, from the autopilot, claimed output power is 1.5W.

Когато огънеш антената по този начин не знаеш какво се случва с SWR. Имал съм случай в които перфрктна антена измерена и пробвана и разпоявам конектора и я запоявам за трансмитера за по-малко тегло и това тотално прецаква ефективността на антената и предавателя. Пагодите имат по плосък донът на излъчване и са по-капризни откъм точност на изработка, което допълнително пречи - малко да огънеш платките и нещата се скапват.

Принципно да, знам всичко това, но в случая беше бързото решение на проблема, преди полет! Мисля да я преместя отгоре за да не се дрънка в тревите на кацане и да си е права.
