Great video and love your explanations. For the camera, did you use the long mounting bracket that uses the two screws that hold the license plate? Or did you screw the camera directly into the plastic car body. If you used the long mounting bracket, how does that connect to the camera? I wasn't able to figure that out. Also love your dogs!!! I am going to mount my S8 into my Toyota RAV4 (2007) with the same camera. I'll be using the original JBL premium sound system, original amplifier, and have ordered (hopefully) the correct wiring harnesses and adapters for that stereo system as well as the original steering wheel controls.

Very very late response but for what’s it’s worth. Still enjoying and love this setup. Randomly will get a hiccup where I need to reset the unit, but overall I think it’s a great setup. Especially for the price.

have an important question… i have the exact same stereo and backup camera and i’m installing the backup camera as we speak. i came across an issue i’m not understanding: the backup camera needs to be connected to the accessory coming from the atoto head unit. but mine is already used up as it was soldered to the car already. do i need to connect: the accessory from the head unit, the accessory from the backup camera, and the accessory coming from the car/aftermarket harness together? meaning 3 wires spliced together in one? or am i missing something? please let me know!

I ended up connecting the red wire from the harness of the radio and the camera together and crimping them on one side, and the other side, the red wire from the car harness.

Not yet. There is an adapter for that but haven't gotten around to install.

Bet the gps didn't work as you need the antenna outside dash on these cheap units..

Actually, I bought an Atoto head unit approximately 6 months ago and installed it myself. I also put the GPS and Wifi modules under the dash and they work fantastic. I took a drive from Ontario Canada to Georgia USA and never once had the GPS or WiFi signal cut out. It's very reliable!
