Atreyu confronts the Gmork - US/international and extended German versions - The Neverending Story

Note that I was unable to re-map the HDR colours in the German HD release, therefore it appears 'washed out' in this comparison, but the Blu-Ray and 4K releases are correctly colour graded.
The German release of The Neverending Story contains additional dialogue between Atreyu and Gmork. The German version shows Gmork ebbing in strength, with his instruction to Atreyu to 'leave me alone' and later telling Atreyu that he (Gmork) is almost too weak to kill Atreyu (before he knows he is talking to Atreyu), but that he will find the strength.
In the German version, Atreyu triumphantly proclaims that he will 'give' Gmork the strength before ordering him:
Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!

Atreyu seems kind of ruthless in the longer version. Gmork says he's weak and wants to be left alone but Atreyu shows no mercy.

The wheezing at the beginning is a nice touch when you consider in the book, Gmork is chained up and starving to death.

Thanks. The longer version explains why it was such a short fight. Maybe it was cut because of the k word.

The voice of Gmork in the US/International release is better. A re-edited version of the German version should be made with Alan Oppenheimer. The NeverEnding Story Extended Edition, that's what I already call the original German release

I wonder who voiced the Gmork in this version? Isn't it Oppenheimer? It sounds somewhat like him, minus the growling bass and lower octave.
