I'm hear cause my son. He is 5. He absolutely loves this song. Lot time I play music back ground noise. I'm cooking supper as a live this version playing. Dad, dad dad I run see what going on. He's obseed with tornados. Even thou 5 can tell you everything about them. See the circle pits, tells me I need learn and teach him. Cause then he can make people tornados.

Two second frets on top two strings is not an E power chord. It would be below it (the D and A strings).

Don't forget that the tuning is drop D. So in this case barring the E and A does give us an E power chord. In actuality the sounding chord is a D5 because we're tuned down an additional whole step but for ease of thinking and labeling everything is thought of as being in drop D.

Hi Tim, would a lesson on Dyers Eve by Metallica be possible in the near future? It's a challenging song so in order to truly get it down right, it needs a lesson with the "Tim Holman treatment".

Yes, I think I will get to that one fairly soon. I'm going to do fade to black next then a couple off of MOP. Then I think I'll get to that and a couple more off of Justice.

@@TimHolman that would be amazing. One of the great things about your lessons are the rhythm/tabs. It’s frustrating when a teacher plays something different from their instructions leaving me confused. Not the case here. Your lessons are very clear, precise and a breeze to follow.

What effects/pedals are you using?

The rhythm guitars have no effects/pedals. Gain at 6.5. Bass and mids at about 5 and treble at 6.5. Leads have slightly more gain. About 8.5. I also used a tube screamer. Delay was added to the track in Cubase after the fact but I generally use a boss DD3. I hope this helps you dial in a great sound!
