Thoughts on a house rule: You can’t drop into a Service center and change the length of your chassis (short, medium, long). That would be building a new truck. You can change the size of the fuel tanks, or maybe add a drop-axle, but that’s about it. What do you think?
@ZillaBlitzPC
@ZillaBlitzPC Жыл бұрын
This would be a fun rule to test out and makes total sense. I'm not sure I'll use it in this save, but I can see that being a fun restriction, forces you to make some fun decisions along the way, and each truck would stay unique.

Canada!!! Yes, eh? 🙂 A loop from Vancouver to Kamloops via Penticton, Kelowna, and then Merritt would take you through some of the varied landscapes that contribute to our "Hollywood North" nickname up here. Alternatively, Vancouver to Squamish -- along what's known as the Sea to Sky hwy would be cool -- could then head to Kamloops from that direction (going from the mountains and coastline of the Pacific Northwest to the heart of North America's northernmost desert (and yes, you'll find rattlesnakes and sagebrush in Kamloops!)

Looking forward to seeing some long drive coast to coast North to Sth coming up. Where to go first? I would say Mexico, to some of the bigger cities. Chihuahua especially stands out to me as a great one. Once you've got some long distance, Canada. Especially through Vancouver and into Bralorne. There's some cool hidden roads around Bralorne for you to look for too. And you'll be in a good spot to go to Alaska from there if you get the road connection.

I like how everyone including myself have chosen real companies mods. However some of the areas in the game that I explored in IRL have the wrong companies in the wrong place. I just hope in the future that they will expand the maps more so you can explore more of areas like Hollywood California. Maybe ATS2 would have it?
@ZillaBlitzPC

Yeah, the real company mods add a great sense of immersion. That'd be an interesting question, what would you make different with ATS2?
@Solidier1
@Solidier1 7 ай бұрын
yes sir. I'm sure like for a ETS 3 that the map for cities be more than just a small area, of course the graphics be much detailed, maybe they could combine both ATS and ETS maps together and be called "World Truck Simulator" or something much cooler named. This game really got me hooked as it reminds me of the times I used to be on the road alot with my dad who sadly passed a couple months ago. It's like that nostalgic I used to have with him. But yeah seeing how much the game has bring in loads of fans over the years (mostly actual drivers themselves) that they could improved more in the future. I hope some day we could walk around with our own customize avatar beings and real hands behind the wheels. I yet got a chance to play the newer maps that came out after Texas which I hope to experience this year. Heck I was amazed by how the community in ETS2 are with added more areas to make the map more bigger that it probably take a full day to get from the west to the east side of the map. Anyways sorry for the ramble. This game really addicting. I would also like to thank ya for helping out getting both the coast to coast map to work with mexico. Another truck youtuber had there's to the point where it didnt work on my copy for some reason. So yeah gg on the new follower. Hope to see more kick *ss content of yours in the future.

Zillaaaa! I was so excited to see this 1st episodes cant wait for more. I used them same map mods so much fun. Mexico is definitely a whole different ball game i found it to be more challenging but really fun. When i was running them map mods i could only use frieght market loads and not the WOT contracts but i think that would add more challenges for the episodes to be under time crunches and then do perfect deliveries. Maybe they updated them now to work with wot but youll have to check. Either way keep up the fun videos.

The Alaska Mod is definitely good, but it's not perfect. Some of the mapping is a little lower quality than what SCS does and performance isn't optimized in Fairbanks, but the areas by the coast off the ferries are really high quality, especially Homer, and the drive from Coldfoot to Prudhoe Bay is pretty challenging. If you do use it though, get the road connection between it and ProMods Canada, as it also adjusts the ferry times to be much more realistic.

How do you copy your settings from one save to another?
@ZillaBlitzPC
@ZillaBlitzPC Жыл бұрын
I'm using cloud Steam saves, so I think this impacts the location, but look in Documents -> American Truck Simulator -> steam_profiles. There should be coded folders in there for each of your profiles. You can figure out which one is which by the "Date Modified" column. Just copy everything that's inside the folder of the profile you want to copy from and paste it into and replace the files in the folder of the profile you want to copy into. If you're not using Steam cloud saves, you might look in the "profiles" folder.
