Toledo was a place we visited a lot when I was a kid. My parents were working in Spain, and the swords, suits of armor, and architecture were just magical to me.

Another gem from attache! Here in cebu, we also have a place called toledo city. But it's not as beautiful as Toledo in spain 😂

Views like that sandwich tower at 4:41 are one of the many reasons Attache is one of two channels I always watch on full screen, and the only one I'll pause sumo wrestling for.

It's one of the most important and interesting Castillian cities of Spain, and the oldest parts are totally medieval stone style architecture, and they just have an extraordinary and unique energy. There's no marzipan almond paste sweets that can compare to Spain, and Toledo is an important marzipan manufacturing center. Delicious. It's a vice once start eating small baked toasted marzipan figurines, don't want to stop. Lol Spain captures the essence of true flavors of Visigothic Christian marzipan development, like no other countries, no matter how beautifully shaped and decorated in Austria and Germany. Toledo has an extraordinary cathedral with museum rooms. I've been been there multiple times, and just feel at home in Toledo. An everything city.

Wow, it really does look spectacular. I'd heard about it before but now it's firmly on my travel list. It reminds me a little of Matera, Italy, which is also a must visit city.

Toledo looks magical…definitely on my list now. Thanks for the video. I’ve been to Spain a couple of times…not surprisingly to Barcelona (and I used your Barcelona video to prep for my first visit in 2019). I loved visiting Zaragoza in 2019 as well, and on my most recent trip last fall, I rented a car and drove to the little village of Cardona, which is quite charming. Though my primary reason for going there was to stay in the village’s parador, which is in an amazing 12th century castle overlooking the valley and village. Really nice (though a lot of mining in the nearby hills).

So that's my Fall trip sorted out! Definition of "say less, I'm in". I visited Barcelona in Nov. 2018. Worst trip of my life - but that was due to bad company - I have been contemplating a return to Spain, and just got back from VIenna which was the last pre-pandemic trip I had planned for in 2020. I've been trying to decide between Lisbon & Porto, or Madrid & Barcelona with a 2 night day trip from Madrid and a one night day trip from Barcelona. Barcelona deserved another chance without a doubt in my mind otherwise, but Toledo looks like it has everything I'd want out of a multi-night day trip from a major destination. In a few weeks I'm visiting my friend in DC while I'm there for a work trip, and she just got back from a Southern Spain trip - cannot wait to hear her take and have an Attaché guide to boot!

Side comment to my second comment - I'm hoping you might have a Strausburg vlog or travel guide on the way - I'm probably going to spend Christmas in Europe this year since the organisation I work for closes org-wide from just before Christmas until around 3 kings day.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those 4 cities, they're all great. But I can definitely recommend Toledo for a quick trip. Lovely little place.
