I never understood why people were so offended by loc extensions. Its still a journey I love them either way, I just am not able to do the awkward phase like with the big chop, I hated it for me. Those are so pretty!! I’ve taken to combining a few locks. I snip the two headed dragons and attach the cut loc to a shorter loc. It is kind of fun finding a matching loc ans attaching them. I did my first one so well I kept having to find it! It was weirdly fun.

I am just trying to figure out what's the minimum length of hair, in order to get loc extensions. I had a high-top fade for several years and now I am growing out the sides and the back of my head. Right now, there's 2 1/2 inches of growth. Long enough to flat twist. But I am unsure if I could start the lock extensions now.

With the crotchet needle just go back and forward, but when do you roll with your fingers? Sometimes it looks like your rolling then again it looks like your just holding the hair while crotcheting
