Navod Wijesekara pretty sure in episodes 31 to 33 (still during Season 2) A tall (male) character asks another character if she remembers a time before the show was going on, and she kinda explains, I know I’m being vague to avoid spoilers, but in the show it is also vague after rewatching it I picked up on what they were talking about. They were in that forest when they had that conversation.

Yeah it’s honestly mind blowing, usually what happens is that shows continuously become worse and worse over the seasons, it’s the exact opposite for attack on titan.

It’s one of the best but honestly tower of god also has the same vibe . The lore is so complex the history of the tower and the ancient beings are all mysterious and you slowly learn about everything and to this date at chapter 483 we barely know 30% of the towers lore . If you love backstories, lore and mysteries + a power system that is so Good that it’s almost better the HxH’s power system then that is the show for you .The only difference between the two shows is the survival part of AoT but that has been an over saturated genre for a while and the trials and challenges of Tower of God. However, don’t take that as a negative Tower of God will bring you some freshness

One Piece competes in this manner. I like AOT better with more consistent dark tone and better paced. One Piece has better characters and I like that it has adventure and a well written world. Just had to compare 2 series that I love and compete for have the best story.

It's not really a shonen. Much more of a seinen. It just has a very shonen main character. At least at the start.

@@kin4386 I know that the story is more seinen-ish but what determines if it's shounen / seinen / shoujo / josei is the magazine the manga is published in. For example, Banana Fish is a action packed seinen-ish story that talks about rape, drugs, and mafia but it is categorised as a shoujo anime because the manga was published in a shoujo magazine. I also want to add that just because the target audience was determined by the magazine, it doesn't mean that the majority of the audience will necessarily be part of that demographic. E.g. One punch man being really popular among 13-18 years old even though it's a seinen.

@@Strawboys Dude, if you like backstory, then this show is for you. Trust me its not only about titans vs humans, the whole story takes a turn later in the series, and once season 4 comes out, your whole view of AoT will change. Its not a simple anime at all, things that happen in the first episode lead to the epsiodes in the 3rd season its really the best anime ever created.

I liked season 2 more than season 3 part 1 but to each their own

If you read the manga, you'll be VERY disappointed in how they handled Season 3 part 1. They cut so much out and was rushed as hell. I will never forgive Studio Wit for deleting Dimo Reeves, the newspaper company, and Nile's character development scenes. The manga portion of S3p1 made the world of AOT a lot more convincing by showing us people outside of the Survey Corps. There is a panel of a starving lady holding a baby in her arms, glaring menacingly at Erwin. That panel really stuck to me, and IT'S NOT IN THE ANIME. The anime skips so much of the detail that you don't understand just how bad Trost district became, and how much effort Dimo Reeves put in to try to restore the town - a stark difference to the douchebag he was in Season 1 Episode 6. It makes you like him, and cheer his son Flegel when he inherits his father's company. The anime just states that Trost is a shithole but you don't see it, and Reeves is suddenly a good guy it's jarring. By deleting the newspaper company scenes (including a touching line by Hanji), you don't really get the feeling that it was not just Erwin and Pixis that overthrew the phony government, but THE PEOPLE as well. (And this is completely personal, but I am PISSED OFF that they made Hanji very frail after the fight with Kenny; only able to lift a hand to greet Erwin. In the manga, she is weakened as well, but as soon as Erwin shows up, she gets jolly for a second. It is so dang CUTE as frick.)

The story is better but both animes are fire. They are the perfect anime to introduce people to anime, they don't have stupid fan service and boobs, just great story telling, animation, and soundtrack. Overall perfect animes to introduce people into this

You better check out the first episode's title. Y e s. I bet after the season four you'll be rewatching it from the start to see their emotions the reactions happenings and stuffs. The plot is super duper great especially if you're currently reading the manga.
