Except when Reiner and Bert revealed themselves YouSeeBigGirl was played, which is an epic track although still depressing because we've just been betrayed, they definitely could've made a better choice, it would be even better if it shared sounds with Vogel Im Käfig, much like. But you're right in one thing, this specific soundtrack does not fit the scene

@@Bruh-el9js YouSeeBigGirl is a song of betrayal, and vogel im kafig played when eren's mom was (indirectly) killed by reiner. In this moment AOT is incredibly meta by calling out that eren and reiner are EXACTLY the same- even in this scene, eren is literally the big, scary titan busting through the wall and killing lots of eldians- much the same way reiner did in the very first episode. The motif present in both of the aforementioned songs is not just a symbol of betrayal of reiner to eren (that would have worked in reverse as well) but a song of betrayal of the eldians by either of these titan shifters. I understand there is an argument to be made that the levi vs beast titan song was fitting because either way it relates to eldians killing each other, but in my opinion YouSeeBigGirl also has this link and is poetic specifically with regards to eren and reiner as well. I could be missing something of greater significance as an anime only watcher but I really think that if they started playing YSBG at the moment eren says "until my enemies are destroyed" it wouldnt have taken away the surprise of him transforming since we knew he was going to at that point anyways. Also, this is a much more subjective thing, but I think in addition to its poeticism YSBG sounds much more tragic than 2volt does. 2volt just reminds me of the high octane decimation of zeke at the hands of levi, whereas YSBG represents the shocking and tragic betrayal of eren by the marleyan warriors, which is the exact same thing eren does to reiner in this scene. He seemingly builds him up and sympathizes with him and then goes back on all that and goes on a massacre of reiner's (and by extension eren's own) people. Speaking of which that seemed like an incredibly strange thing for eren to do, and I still don't understand it (though more sense of eren's character will hopefully be made in the discussion with mikasa and armin next episode). Anyways, apologize for my rambling.

The thing is though, by association 2volt doesn’t fit. The last and most powerful time the 2volt was played was Levi getting vengeance against the Beast Titan in a cathartic morally clear beat down. Levi is the hero and Zeke, the monster who destroyed Connie’s hometown, the monster who killed Erwin, Marlowe, and half the Survey Corps, is getting his due. Playing this track in such a morally ambiguous scene is not good because whilst the visuals are showing you that what Eren is doing is morally reprehensible by blowing up a city block full of innocent Eldians, the music is telling you that he is in the right because it is creating a link between a scene with a hero toppling a villain and saying “this and Eren’s declaration of war are the same” despite them not being the same whatsoever

@@AtinPiano sure, im only through a page or so of it. the speed of the left hand is throwing me a bit. just a couple thing ive noted: bar 42 RH incorrect, video repeats the previous section. bars 25>30 tripples instead of doubles in the video. just threw me off whilst trying to learn it. the rest of the sheet looks like it matches.hopefully i can make it down that far.
