I called Henry the next day to check up on him and he's feeling much better. I'm just glad the outcome wasn't worse. He seriously could have lost his leg or even his life. You'll see Henry back at it on a future shark tooth hunt soon enough, but hopefully at a new spot! Hope you feel better soon Henry!

Attack happens at about 13:00 minutes in, but it’s not graphic. You can see the bite, but thankfully it’s not severe. Not gorey. Just in case anybody wants to know.

I’ve watched several of his videos and I just now noticed that he talks like he’s rehearsed his lines 1000x. He doesn’t pause, use “um” or “like” . he says 100 words without messing up once. i always noticed something about how he talks but I couldn’t put my finger on it until today.. impressive

A lot of small bubbles coming up to the surface means a gator or something is on the bottom of the body of water causing gas bubbles to be released from the mud. So just keep that in mind. The bigger the circle of bubbles, the bigger the object on the bottom is.

My son and I watch your videos religiously and bought the tooth fairy tshirt the moment you announced it. He was hopeful for that chance for a shark tooth. The long wait finally came and it didn't happen. He was heart broken but after we watched this video, he turned and said "Mommy, he probably used the shark tooth to pay the hospital". He's 8, to him...a shark tooth is gold. He was just so happy everyone is okay. We hope Henry a speedy recovery. Stay safe out there.

I went to the peace river with my brother and my dad when I was like 10. We saw multiple alligators and one was HUGE. It just looked at us in our tiny canoe and went underwater. My brother and I were scared to death and were like “Dad, paddle the dang boat!”

You guys need to start carrying first aid kits with you with a tourniquet and a bottle of rubbing alcohol/iodine and bandages/pressure bandages etc. If he had really been wounded badly you guys would've been screwed and he could've lost his life before help got there. I'd definitely suggest also taking a first aid course so you have some idea of what to do.. it might save you or your friend's life.

I live on the peace river must the alligators dont mess with u unless u mess with them or where they nest at. I've fallen off a jet-ski many times right by them nd they just swim away they do no harm unless u harm them or there nesting areas my dog goes on the peace river all the time with me

@@takodayerington8936 despite saltwater crocodiles being WAY more aggressive and dangerous than alligators, there has actually been an almost equal number of fatalities in the USA from alligators and Australia from Crocs over the last few years. The reason, Australians take cross seriously and Americans don't take alligators seriously.

I cant believe people have to specify this every video but no megs did not live in rivers the teeth are there because Florida was entirely underwater millions of years ago and limestone gradually built up over time raising it out of water but in places like springs and rivers where the limestone layers have been worn away you can find them

Annie_NYC did you not read what i just said. Florida was completely underwater millions of years ago during the time of the megaladons and other sharks. You can find their teeth in these rivers because the ground has been warn away down to those layers. Not all of them are megaladon though there we still a lot of other shark species in that time too. Some extinct some still alive

Sw yes I READ your comment, and I’m talking in the present. If that river has a channel to salt water NOW than it is a pathway for small sharks to give birth and for babies to grow. 👍🏼 Hence also why there maybe more baby teeth than anything else.

@BlueLeader 2735 They wouldn't be able to take the dog anywhere because it would be dead. Gators don't just take a nip, they quickly drag it into the water an do the death roll. Many people have lost theirs dogs to this.

Sub or Gtfo. Honestly, I live in Florida and have a pond in my back yard and I have to be really careful when I go to fish because I don’t want to get bit by a gator, they literally said that that place was known for alligators but they still went in the river 😂

Don’t go in dark waters during mating season!!! Crazy!! Most of the time gators don’t like human meat but they will attack if stepped on, breeding season, protect eggs or babies or to close but most of the time they swim away. I’ve lived in Florida all my life and grew up swimming in gator waters but certain times you can’t and you have to watch closely cause bumping into them will cause them to defend theirselves. Glad it wasn’t to bad of a bite cause he could of did the gator roll but I think it was a defense bite and not a hungry bite or he wouldn’t of let go.

honestly, most of the tiny "megalodon" teeth are probably fossilized teeth of sharks like bulls, tigers, and maybe nursing sharks

Just a thought, but y’all should really look into getting CAT tourniquets when y’all go somewhere like this. If the gator were to take the foot, the tourniquet WILL save his life. Definitely do some training with it so you know how to properly apply it. Also an EMT class would be very beneficial for y’all since y’all are far from any public areas. Could save your life just having a small understanding of trauma. I’m a Firefighter/EMT-Basic.

Listen, I was born and raised on that river. Don't ever, ever dive there without an armed look out. Also each one of you should have a diver buoy attached. When we come round the corner in our airboats doing 50, someone can very easily get hurt. Happens all the time down here.

Rule 1: Never dive alone or far away from your buddies. Rule 2: never ever separate yourselves in murky waters, especially when you KNOW there is dangerous wildlife. Surprised you guys broke those rules especially in such an environment, but luckily you’re all safe
