Gorgeous ALCOHOL INK Abstract RESIN Art!
I’m back with another video making alcohol ink wispies in epoxy resin. This time I decided to go with colors I don’t usually use in resin and I absolutely love how these coasters turned out! After my last attempt doing this resin technique with alcohol inks didn’t fully come out the way I hoped, the tattoos definitely made my trinket dishes too busy (link to that video will be down below in case you missed it), I just had to try again. This time I just did the alcohol ink drop and didn’t add any tattoos to my pieces.
Be sure to let me know which your favorite resin coaster is but mine HAS to be the brown coaster. It reminds me so much of coffee or some kind of chocolatey dessert!
*When working with resins make sure you are working in a well ventilated room and be wearing the right PPE. Resin is a chemical and can make you sick if you don't take the right precautions.*

Thank-you! I’ve usually kept away from alcohol inks because of bad reviews of fading but Im really hopeful with Let’s Resin’s ones. The trinket dishes I made 5 months ago still look like when I demolded them😁

I love the "stringy-ness" of the brown one, but not the colors. The green/yellow is my favorite color palette, and the fire one is nice, too.

I think the Phoenix is my preferred! 🔥 Surprisingly, the green is my next! 🍃 Both will show the colorfast change sooner. It is possible to get a dye to work like an alcohol ink for coloring the resin, and it is more colorfast. A KZfaqr called Clara Lawrence has created some and has recipes for it. I'm not sure how to spell her name for sure, but she creates resin art.

ooo I'll check her out, thankyou. My trinket dishes were made 5 months ago and they still look good so I'm hopefully these inks are more uv stable but with time we'll see :)
