nice that you are open. I find it very acceptable to change ones taste in time. I find scary the thought of ine day everyone saying "thats my taste and its not changing"

Some Waves plugins won't saturate even if you hit them with a hammer, still we all have them 😃

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen a gain reduction meter react like that. For some reason I think this only happens with plugins, not hardware compressors. Does anyone know why some plugins sound like they’re not compressing as much as they say they are?

I really dig your perspective and you seem like a really cool guy....if you picked up the pace in these vids you'd knock it out of the park. But I'm one of those people who has a habit of speeding up videos to get to the best parts. So take it for what it's worth. Thanks for the vid.

I agree with you. For a track that has organ bass guitar vocals I feel like the compressor should be doing something a bit more. I did notice when you soloed the bass it opened up some air for it but other then that not sure. In some other videos I noticed when theres modern electric guitar sound there is a huge difference. It works well on drums by itself and keys with guitars by itself for sure.. But in the mix well at 23:50 its started getting convincing tbh From a producer standpoint what other compressor would you challenge it to? Because this is vintage after all, and grittier sounding. Nice review congrats

The neold is perhaps more similar to the Abbey road TG 1234 desk compressors, or the TG mastering desk. Certainly worth having along with these for a similar but different vintage vibe if that is what you are collecting ! Was my favourite until this came along. However lots of potential in limit mode for parallel smash. Get it while PA have sales - like right now !

Really appreciate this video I have to say I was curious about this comp as well but I keep swearing no more plugins lol, hey side not I live in Fl in your dad's old place , we are friends of your sisters, .Hope to be buying in a couple months . Anyways I would love to see a comparison to something else say the Omni or something like that ??
