SUFI PATH
It was designed to revitalize the places belonging to Sufis, poets, scholars and scholars who are alive today and who lived in different centuries in Turkey, to raise awareness in terms of culture and faith tourism, and to unearth the spiritual values and cultural treasure richness of the past. Sufi Path aims to offer an unforgettable adventure to hikers, cyclists and culture lovers, starting from Istanbul to Konya. On the Sufi Road, it is possible to see the lodges that still live in accordance with their traditions, as well as encounter beautiful people who create new traditions.
The Sufi Way Route starts in Eyüp Sultan in Istanbul and continues to Yalova by ferry from Yenikapı İDO terminal at the end of the 18-kilometer walk in Istanbul. In Yalova province, Samanlı, Akköy, Kaplıca, Gökçedere, Kurtköy and Güneyköy are included within the scope of the route, respectively. In Bursa province, Iznik can be reached via Hamzalı, Orhangazi, Cihanköy, Bayındır, Mahmudiye, Orhaniye, İnikli and Elbeyli. After Iznik, there are Çamdibi, Hocaköy, Çiçekli and Kaynarca points. The hidden beauty of the Greek village is the cliffs that have survived to the present day as a result of the sediments formed by the decrease in the flow rate of the water, such as clay, sand and pebbles carried by the streams. The bridge, which is thought to have been built on the rocks during the period when Christianity spread to Anatolia and is known as the Devil's Bridge because it is narrow and makes it difficult for people to cross, is still standing tall.
Devil's Bridge is also little known by tourists coming to the region. The region, which resembles the rocks in Arizona, famous for its canyons in the USA, awaits its visitors.
It is thought that the bridge was built by the Greeks as an aqueduct.
