Attention to South Coast as Dongo Kundu Bypass Nears Completion

The Dongo Kundu bridge is part of the Mombasa Southern Bypass project that is situated in both Mombasa and Kwale Counties. It is being implemented by the Kanya National Highways Authority.
The contractor is Fujita Corporation-Mitsubishi Corporation Consortium. The project which commenced on 13th March 2020 if funded by Japan International Corporation Agency and the government of Kenya to the tune of about 24 billion Kenya shillings.

thank yourself, the tax payer for contributing 10% to this project. the other 90% thank the japanese tax payers. JICA concived and funded this project from before uhuru

@@TheTororistyou are so vain. Those taxes were being paid since Kenya got independence how come the other presidents did not utilise those taxes to build it? UK directed those taxes to this project. Thank him first the taxpayer has no power to dictate what his or her taxes do, at least the Kenyan taxpayer lacks that power it is bestowed on our elites.

I agree with you. Hoever let us not forget many road works were concieved during Kibakis government....however it took a great leader as Uhuru to recognize, implement and finish them off. another leader could just as easily abandoned them.

They never mark our roads and if they do, they rarely maintain those markings. No proper signage. We should demand more from KENHA as Kenyans.

lol, they just started marking ngong road, (past daogo corner) about 7 years since it was completed. its a valid question. some roads they do it on time, others they just leave it be because nobody complains@@patricknjogu2962

Sadly That's how loaned projects work, the contractor is from the same country offering the loans, hence the lender government is pumping directly to it's economy and in the long run the government will regain it's money back when paid back, that's why china and Japan love to loan mega projects over Sea, even the us when is sends foreign aid like military equipment to Ukrainian the 12 billion dollars was actually given to America weapons manufacturers and the equipment was sent to Ukraine as loans

I think Dongo Kundu is more mijikenda than Swahili, cause there are a number of towns in the coast called like that. Like I know another Dongo Kundu in Watamu/Malindi. And in any case, Dongo Kundu is easier to pronounce than what you are proposing.
