Join us as we unbox & play the new ATV EXS-3CY electronic drum kit, which basically is a regular EXS-3 as we've known it with an additional 12" crash cymbal 🤖👌🕺 the ATV xD3 sound module comes with nice authentic drum sounds & some beautiful music tracks to jam along to.
The kit setup in detail:
xD-K10 bass drum pad (10")
4 x xD-P10 snare & tom pads (10")
2 x aDrums artist crash cymbals (12")
aDrums artist ride (14")
aDrums artist hihat (12")
rack system

nice, essentially a cheaper EXS-5 for who wants to spend a bit less and doesn't mind the smaller sizes. and the kit will be maxed out already (in the sense that you can't plug any new pads into the module as it won't have any slots for that), which, whilst limiting, at least ensures the owner won't be spending any more money with upgrades lol

HH are the problem with every e-kit. They are my biggest issue. But ATVs seem to have the best HH sound out of every module I have ever heard, cheap or expensive.

Is exs-3cy's rack same with the exs-5? can you tell me the dimension with whole kit, please?

Is there a significant difference between standard exs- 3 and CY versions?

It sure is, you can also get any custom kit configuration from drum-tec if you like. @Derek Frampton aKa 1PaPaD1 The good: Within two years Roland is going to release at least three kits where all of the pads will have USB functions.* The bad: Roland will crack the $10k barrier for electronic drum kits.* *Author's opinion. Not based on any verifiable research.

@@michaelanderson2881 agreed, especially since the digital snare technology is reusable for the toms, and the digital ride technology is reusable for crashes. its just a matter of having the module to support that, which should take the 2 years you mentioned. and i also agree with it costing more than $10k, there are roland kits that cost $8k already (or more) iirc, so it shouldnt be difficult to imagine an all-digital kit going way above that price (i think they could probably get away with even more than that, and people'd still buy it)

you can probably find the EXS-3 and EXS-5 though, both use the same module as the one shown in this video so they'll sound the same, just with different sizes/number of pads.
