@LITTLEREBEL55 It's been a while since we tested this (obviously) and we could watch the video again or maybe you can look through your owner's manual to find out. I'm thinking there's a button to push to show more but might be confused.

@dfx961 It's simply the way the manufacturers classify them - mostly because of possible liability repercussions.

Some ATVs you can pull the lever a long way before anything happens. Some (like the Outys the lever is harder to pull and then requires too much effort to get the ATV stopped quickly. The best (and a King Quad has one of the best brake feels / or even a newer Sportsman with the newer lever) you can more easily pull the lever, there's some give and yet you can "feel" that by pulling in more or less on the lever you have far more control as to how much braking you are applying. @dfx961 Most likely. The biggest liability with towing are the brakes and the short wheelbase. It's very easy to get in trouble. So this is many manufacturers way of protecting themselves from lawsuits if something should happen.

That's a tough question as there are so many good ATVs available nowadays. I like the King Quad 400, the Outlander 500, Honda Rubicon (more work oriented), and the Grizzly 550. Let's see did I miss anything?

We never test top speed or acceleration as there are far too many variables that can cause them to vary greatly.

@doobyboy21 Ridden it but haven't 'tested' it. I see no reason for needed that much power! The only time we can use more than 650cc is climbing the steep mountains in deep snow, and then even power doesn't help if the tires aren't right.

Nope, but the '08 has EFI and that's a big difference in cold weather starting and high altitude riding. Oh, and better fuel mileage too, but then who cares about that? (Kidding!) Doug

The Outlander is faster but there's a lot more to a good ATV than speed...

I have a lot of friends who have 400 outlanders and they ALL have HUGE reliability issues. Don't let all of the bells and whistles fool you, you're better off with something else.
