No problem...Been at this a long time. If you can find a 4x4 you'll be a lot happier for a lot longer .

@sniping12 The Can Am is a great machine, I just personally like the feel of the YFZ - especially on the dunes.... And I learned a long time ago that what looks good on paper doesn't always feel as good in real life...Sometimes there's just a 'magic' to the ingredients that can't be put on paper.

@ATVTVCOM it can also help if you have about a 2inch engine intake and its not erestricted by position

@SecretxRecords The retail price is in the video, but with today's economy like it is check around at the local dealers and you'll get a lot better rice.

@maracuja363 I hope so but Can Am has really cut back on the number of test units they send out - so not real sure.....

I prefer the feel and power of the Outlander, but still prefer a more open differential with a locker.

@IxsnipeddxI The ground clearance should be listed in the specs at the end of the video. Like any ATV, it's only as safe as the rider.....

@sniping12 They would work great for the dunes although I prefer the YFZ450 or the Raptor 700.

@ATVTVCOM just out of curiosity why the yfz? cause the dealership i was looking at had both, and when i left i liked both equally but on paper the can am has more to offer, thanks for the replies by the way

@IxsnipeddxI I'm not familiar enough with the Mudzillas to answer that. I can say that no matter which tires you choose , the taller and heavier the tire, the more power it will rob from the machine.

@nationjanes Actually a snorkel can hurt the performance just a bit - the longer the air intake (the further the engine must pull the air into it) the more power it takes.

Do you think the outlander 650 is better then the arctic cat 650 v-twin in your oponion and how do you like the visco lock on the newer models like 2009 and up.

i have looked on the website for can am and they dont have the renegade x anymore or does the stock can am have the x suspension now cause you have to go from standard to dps and visco lok qe which is a big price difference. What do you think you could get a renegae 500 for with todays economy

It's the biggest(!) but I hardly equate that to best.

Mileage with the Renegade isn't bad. Its no hyper miler for sure, but for what one really weighs and the way it performs its very acceptable.

@bballplaya123678 Tough one to answer for me as I see no reason to buy a Renegade. I figure you should either get a sport quad for the track and dunes, or a utility quad for the trails. The Renegade (especially the none X model) doesn't really do anything better than a good utility model.

Very good handling but lots of engine vibration and a silly transmission with no low range and no locking front differential.

does the 07 renegade 800 have the same suspension?

@rocky2win The older style is fairly sporty considering its age. The new one is really nothing more than a utility ATV - and not that good of one at that...

You need enough power to do what you need to do. I've found 650cc to be enough. YOu need a good smooth engine and transmission. You need a good drive system that can be switched between 2wd, 4wd open front diff, and 4wd locked. You need good brakes that allow you to control them. You need a light ATV that is easy to control. And you need it to be reliable!

Idk if u would know this because I know how u hate mud tires but what size would you recomond for mudzilla tires and would it spin those tires easy or with problems or should I just go with zillas thanks

i know how u feel i hav to wait a month to get mine too

not to sound like an idiot but with a fuel injection controller and a slip on exhaust we got one of these things up to 80mph and actually beating my modded trx450r. if only this engine was in a MX race ready sport quad....

You can't use Can Am 800 and fuel efficient in the same sentence ;-)

HAHA so true. That comment that 95machinehead made was kind of stupid. Its like buying a Lamborghini and and asking the fuel usage. In other words, If you can afford the Can Am I am sure you will have the money for fuel :)
