@@kennethsmith5383 I mean, I think AU5 heard something I didn't and managed to find how this was useful in a way that wasn't as intuitive to me I was listening for something else at the time, and going far more extreme with the frequency shifter I also don't know if I'd personally have been brave enough to call this "inventing a filter" I'm not criticizing AU5 for this title at all, just personally wouldn't have even crossed my mind to claim that edit: almost forgot, thank you, I should do more

I love your sound, and I've always described it to people as sort of liquidy. Singularity, Snowblind, Dreaming, Blossom, and Crossroad are probably some of the best archetypal examples of my music taste in 2014. The sound this creates is just perfect and instantly takes me back.

I don't think his setup has any feedback going on; at least, when I recreated it in Snap Heap I didn't involve any feedback (experimented with adding it but made things sound a bit muddy!)

I managed to do it in Snap Heap thank you so much ! Using a real flanger lets you have even more controls. Plus you can add convoler phase IRs 👽

Okay, followed along like a good student, but than at the end a whole bunch of stuff happens in a millisecond: duplicate it 4 times (why?), reset (how?), macros are mapped off screen (which?). Will try, but would love to get a bit of insight about these steps too!

Duplicate to increase the rolloff of the filter by adding more poles to the same frequencies (makes the effect more intense, so might be nice to add a chain selector with a dry/wet knob). reset by selecting all the ultracomb filter effect chains (On windows: shift + click or ctrl + click individually) and then turning them all off and then back on at the same time. I can't figure out what "invert" is mapped to, but the others are self explanatory. "AP" means all-pass which maps to the three key parameters in the phaser. Edit 1: Invert Update From Another comment below thanks to @sionnachs_workshop "map the inverts on both phasers to a macro. open up the map options. set one range from 0-64 and the other from 64-127. that should make it so when the macro crosses the mid point it'll flip the inverts on both."

2:09 I've used this on vocals extensively as a subtler alternative for Valhalla FreqEcho, which i think does the same thing but is more complicated to work with
