Well, more than other franchises, I think each Child's Play flick has itself been kind of a reboot. Like, I'm not at all upset that this happened, but if it were Freddy or Jason or Michael I'd be pretty honked off.

I think it's because 1. It's so different from the original series that you can't really compare the two 2. Mark Hamill 3. The original franchise is still going on regardless
