I think them liking, actively enjoying and watching something so many people still consider rather strange makes them that much more human and relatable in a way. So many people think celebrities are almost robotic when it comes to their feelings. Something like this shows they have unique interests and hobbies just like any other person!

I added this to my (way too long) ASMR playlist when it came out because it was SO good. And then in September 2020 I saw it on my list and was like "was this REALLY that good, or did I just save it for the novelty of Aubrey Plaza doing ASMR?" So I watched it. And, yeah, it's still really good.
